HidingCat,

Sorry to be the one who's done that before, though I tell them that I forgot to set private first. xD

HidingCat,

It's not as bad as rogue-like games; I'd say it's more "random dungeon" than anything else. It's also not quite 100% a tower defence game but there are elements of it.

HidingCat,

It's not just about difficulty though; some games are designed to be really long. Looking at some of the RPGs out there, like Divinity: Original Sin.

HidingCat,

Oh damn, I wish you two well, I hope it gets better! @GolGolarion

HidingCat,

I'd say getting older and having more responsibilities is a bigger part of it. When you're young and have lots of free time to devote to a game, a 100 hour game is no big deal. When you have a fraction of that time, you just don't want to deal with that. I'm equally wary as well.

There's definitely some change to the gaming scene, like all the cheap sales and freebies. Very easy to build a backlog of games while barely trying.

HidingCat,

I like exploration and generally mucking around in a MMO; this is why I like base GW2 instead of the expansions (which had me dying a lot). If I wanted a challenge, I'd do WoW raids or play a Souls-like.

HidingCat,

As someone who played GW2 a ton; what does it have that ESO doesn't? Just curious.

Choose Four Consoles to Have the Largest Selection of Games angielski

So I’m reassessing my entertainment center since seeing the Video Game History Foundation’s report. Since the study it’s got me thinking, if you could pick any 4 consoles to have hooked up to your TV (4 becuase I’ve got 4 inputs to my TV) which would you pick and why? I will accept modded consoles as answers too.

HidingCat,

Oh yea, Moonlight is really great if you already have a powerful PC.

I definitely will go with a PC for the living room, mostly because I don't want to use a smart TV's "smarts", but it'll be for streaming of all kinds, including Moonlight (or similar).

HidingCat,

Think FIFA's popularity also stems from FUT, which I guess won't work with a cracked version. So FIFA's real DRM is via a popular feature that requires account registration for microtransactions.

HidingCat,

Yes, after all, the Fifa crowd were more than happy with microtransactions.

Porting that monetisation policy to Battlefront 2, well, we saw how that turned out.

HidingCat,

In a way they did, the base Photography plan is ridiculously good value. PS + LR for US$120 a year. It'd have cost me more to buy both outright back then (US$800 + US$400 upgrades every 2-3 years).
