I feel this way about so many indie games.

• Praey for the Gods - Obviously inspired by the classic, Shadow of the Colossus
• The Upturned - A horror-comedy game with a great sense of humor
• Your Spider - A great indie horror game with puzzles like Silent Hill. Plus it has an adorable spider. This is one of my favorite indie horror games.
• Exanima - Looks at first like a normal dungeon crawler, but its physics-based combat controls and enemy AI make this a very unique and interesting game, even if it’s been in early access for ages.
• Withering Rooms - Great, creepy atmosphere and an interesting story.

I just keep getting annoyed when I see an interesting looking game and find that it’s VR-only.

I’ll need to play with it some more when I get a chance. In any case, my impression is that it’s still developing and still has some way to go. I’d be kinda shocked if Linux doesn’t get decent support eventually.

I believe it does currently have Linux support. At least that is one of the build options. I’m not sure what might prevent it from working in Linux, unless the FBX import package isn’t compatible.

I haven’t tried it myself yet, though.

You can, but I think I read somewhere that it works better with GDScript.

Glad you asked. It’s another open source 3D game engine that may feel a bit more familiar to those who are used to Unity. This is their website.

I’m still just starting to learn it myself, and it can really use some more features, but I think it’s pretty cool. I like the UI more than Godot’s, and I like working in C#.

I don’t know, but I like C#. It’s got a lot of features that I like such as extension methods and custom attributes. And I feel comfortable with it.

I’m also interested in checking out Stride tomorrow. Hopefully I can find a good alternative to Mirror for multiplayer networking and the FinalIk package I had in Unity.

A bit unrelated, but I was reminded of when I was playing Path of Exile one time and I accidentally hit a macro key I had set up to do something in Dwarf Fortress, and I got booted out because of all the rapidly entered keystrokes.

I’ve been talking to anyone who would listen about Your Spider. This is possibly my all time favorite indie horror game, and the fact that it only has three reviews feels like an injustice to me.
