This is stretching things a bit, but I’d like to throw in Skies of Arcadia if you like retro games. They’re also fantasy Sky-ships instead of real ones.
The PS4 allowed people to choose between frame rate and graphical prowess. The PS4 Pro basically eliminated the necessity to choose. We’re seeing games on PS5 that give you similar options, so I assume a PS5 Pro will also render those preferences unnecessary.
Is having ray tracing at 60FPS important enough for you to wait? Furthermore, do you have patience if PS5 pros are hard to come by for the first 3-6 months of availability?
Monster Hunter World, again. Had been playing Sunbreak together until a friend wanted to prove world was the better game for some stupid reason. I genuinely like both, but SB was so much better for multiplayer.
I have no qualm against the game itself or the developers. And I hope my AI claim didn’t sound like an accusation, just more of an observation, as some of those genre blends seem so awkwardly juxtaposed.
I am legit curious about the game due to the popularity. I might actually get it on deck if it’s a game my buddy and I can have a good laugh with online.
Original demographic? I don’t know man, I’m almost 40 and the Palworld trailer just looks like a bunch of zoomer shit to me. (Which is fine, of course.)
I don’t know anything about this game, but none of the videos look even remotely appealing to me. It just looks like an AI fever dream mishmash of frequency fadding genres. What am I missing with this?
Yeah I get it, but I don’t really mind that sort of stuff. You know what to do, it’s only mildly challenging, traversal is kind of fun. For me it’s relaxing.
I can’t stand rogue-likes or arena style multiplayer games, so I never touch any of that.
I’ve generally stopped buying Ubisoft games not because I don’t want to, but because of an issue with my Connect account. I think I had let my PS3 set one up for me back in the AC2 days with an email that is now long defunct (I deleted it after an acquisition that put my privacy at risk).
Now they want me to verify that email so much that some games have actually refused to let me play. I contacted their “support” to request the option to update my email, proving that the registered email is inactive and that I am in complete control of the linked PlayStation account, but they pretty much told me to kindly F off because they care too much about my privacy (lol).
I like some Ubisoft games, I just don’t have confidence spending money on anything they publish when I don’t know which ones might preemptively lock me out.
I figure I’ll just replace the account entirely at some point, but only when there’s a game I absolutely think would be worth the hassle. It just sucks to see my OG account end up trashed over such a dumb reason.
Steam link doesn’t work for external games added into your steam library? I’m new to steam in general, but it seems weird that they’d let you add a game and not use them with link.
I think I have this game on switch. I only played a little bit and gave up because I sucked so much. Maybe I should do exactly as you are, get it for cheap on deck and scale down the difficulty to story mode. I've heard it was a good game.
