Saints Row reboot devs Volition closed down

Volitions Saints Row reboot hits PS Plus next month but today the studios owner Embracer Group have announced the studio is now closed with immediate effect.

A statement from Embracer Group reads…

This past June, Embracer Group announced a restructuring program to strengthen Embracer and maintain its position as a leader in the video game industry. As part of that program, they evaluated strategic and operational goals and made the difficult decision to close Volition effective immediately.

Volition have recently completed work on the post-launch content for Saints Row.
