Either it runs fine Or you need windows 98 compatibility mode, change some ini setting, set physx or whatever its called to off and be finally able to play. Then see yourself standing in your ships boundaries, unable to move. This all happened to me and I just stopped playing. It did play well a few years back but that was on windows 8.
