zalgotext,

Palworld isn’t even that Pokemon-like, aside from some of the Pal’s models, and type strengths/weaknesses. But that’s basically where the similarities end. Palworld is an open world survival/crafting/base building game. Even the whole collecting monsters thing feeds directly into the base building aspect.

God of War Creator Is Unhappy With New Games and Kratos' Story (comicbook.com) angielski

Despite being nominated for numerous awards and even winning Game of the Year in 2018, the creator of God of War, David Jaffe, is not a huge fan of the new direction the series has gone in. Jaffe himself hasn't worked on these new God of War games, but thinks that they're not staying true to the spirit of the character and the...

zalgotext,

People don’t have the right to just change stories to suit their personal opinions and the new writers need to learn to respect that.

I think the new writers absolutely do have the right to change the story as they see fit, on account of they’re the writers and David Jaffe isn’t

zalgotext,

You don’t have the right to do whatever you want simply because you like it.

Yes… Yes you do? Lmao brother have you experienced any story or art in the last, I dunno, ten thousand years? Everyone is just retelling an existing story with their own little tweak or twist.

Look, it seems like you didn’t like the creative direction of the new games, and that’s fine. But getting mad at the writers and claiming they didn’t have “the right” to write the story as they saw fit (in a brand new series of video games btw, not remakes of the existing ones) is weird.

zalgotext,

Dawg where have I claimed to be an original creator of the franchise? You’re being koo koo for cocoa puffs right now lmao. And the writers didn’t destroy anything. The original games are still there. If Jaffe wanted the new games to be different, if he wanted to preserve his “original intent”, he should have written them himself.

Jaffe writing the original story doesn’t give him the power to dictate how new stories based on his work are written, and that’s objective reality, not whatever fantasyland you’re living in.

zalgotext,

Lol ohhh I get it. You’re projecting 👍

zalgotext,

CRTs can easily push >120 fps. That’s why the super sweaty CS esports players still used them well after the first LCD panels came out.

zalgotext,

Exploring is supposed to be a reward in itself

Oh yes, exploring 6 levels of nested menus is incredibly rewarding

zalgotext,

Hasn’t this game been in development for like 5 years? And they built it on an existing engine that they have tons of experience with. You could have said “they were limited on how much they could randomize POIs because of the old engine” and I would have believed you because that sounds way more plausible than “it’s hard to code, so AAA games can’t do it”. Like what?

zalgotext,

I can’t really comment on your other points because I haven’t played any of those other games you mentioned, but this point stuck out to me:

The tooltips and info on skills and classes are lacking.

I’m honestly baffled by this. All of the tooltips and in-game documentation have been immensely helpful to me, as someone who’s pretty new to DnD and has never really played this type of game before. Being able to drill down into the tooltips is incredible, since everything is always a few hovers away, even the most basic beginner concepts. I don’t have to go digging through some in game manual to find stuff that was introduced at the beginning of the game, I just have to hover over a couple things and it’s right there.

zalgotext,

If you’re about to make the argument that “TF2/OW/LOL/WTFBBQ” requires plenty of skill despite the abilities/imbalance: save it.

You know, normally this sort of statement would be followed up with some sort of rationale or explanation

zalgotext,

The balance of OW2 is way better than OW1 though. OW1 was a boring shield-shooting simulator for the last 2 or 3 years of it’s life.

zalgotext,

Shields were too strong in OW1, so much so that the meta revolved around having two shield tanks. How is that not a balance issue?

I agree there’s too much pressure on the tank currently, but I’ll definitely take that over the problems 6v6 OW had.
