Not counting games that were unfun because of bugs, what’s the most unfun video game that you’ve played and what made it unfun? (kbin.cafe) angielski

Most of the video games I’ve played were pretty good. The only one I can think of that I didn’t like was MySims Kingdom for the Nintendo DS. Dropped that pretty quickly. It was a long while ago, but I’ll guess it was because there were too many fetch quests and annoying controls.

worfamerryman,

This 100℅ I even bought a ps4 to play it. It was a really dull game and the character movement felt clunky. I finished it too, but I do not care to play it again.

Ff8 was dope though.

worfamerryman,

I played it at launch and don’t think in had a single crash. Possibly 1, but I can’t remember.

I had at most 2 bugs where I needed to restart the game.

I’m sure things have only gotten better.

worfamerryman,

People have been telling you to game on PC for a while now.

Its pretty much plug and play these days.

PiBoy Mini: just add a Raspberry Pi and you've got a handheld retro gaming system (www.raspberrypi.com)

Retro gaming is a massively popular Raspberry Pi application, and while loading your favourite old video games onto an SD card is pretty straightforward, building the physical shell of a gaming system can be daunting for those of us without 3D printers or design skills of any kind. PiBoy Mini bridges that gap by providing...

worfamerryman,

So you like $200-150 for a working system. Then the steam deck is like hey im $400 and way more capable.

worfamerryman,

I see what your saying.

Denuvo security is now on Switch, including new tech to block PC Switch emulation (www.videogameschronicle.com) angielski

The first of the tools Denuvo is offering to Switch developers is Nintendo Switch Emulator Protection, a “revolutionary technology to protect games launching on Nintendo Switch from piracy”....

worfamerryman,

There are a surprising amount of pc games on switch. I’m not sure if all these titles have denuvo on PC but as an example.

Dragon Quest 11 Doom Eternal Divinity original sin 2 Disco Elysium Most resident Evil games There are a lot of other games that have a switch port, but I’m too tired to think about it further.

worfamerryman,

I’m sorry, I’m also not getting this. My understanding is that they cannot block the sites. But it looks like are doing it. I find it a little confusing.

worfamerryman,

I agree that game sizes are pretty ridiculous these days. This and Baldurs Gate 3 will take up the entirety of my only space ssd. Sadly prices where I live are still decently high.

I’m sure things could be done to optimize the size. With the BTRFS filesystem, you can have things autocompress in a transparent way. So, I installed like 600gb of games, but it only took up 450gb of space because of filesystem compression. Additionally, files load like they are just a normal file.

I wonder how much space would be saved by installing this game to that filesystem.

worfamerryman,

Windows has been a pretty garbage os for years. Linux is so much better in many ways. The only thing windows has is a few applications that have yet to release a Linux version.

If we could get office, Adobe, and autocad on Linux, we could see droves of people switch.

Gaming is basically all set on Linux at this point. Just a few games that have not setup to work due to anti-cheat, but screw it. I don’t need them.

worfamerryman,

That’s a great point. I wonder if people would buy it and use it without really noticing or if they would be upset because it’s not windows or whatever.

worfamerryman,

I’ve only encountered problems with Peacock, but it’s not officially offered where I live, so I have been OK with Netflix and Disney Plus.

I have never tried VR. I have issues with balance as it is and I am pretty sure VR would trigger balance problems, but thanks for pointing it out. For those who are interested.

worfamerryman,

Steam as it’s more straightforward to running it on Linux.

I bought cyberpunk on gog and it’s just a bit more work to get it installed and running.

If possible, I’d exchange it for a steam copy.

The Steam Deck is changing how normies think of gaming PCs.

Just thought I’d share something I thought was pretty interesting. I have a mother in law who is… well let’s just say she’s a stereotypical older mom who doesn’t own a computer, just an iPad. During the pandemic, she started getting into Nintendo games and bought herself a Switch. Fast forward a few years later and...

worfamerryman,

I’m a long time pc gamer and linux gamer. I do not care to play games unless it is in a handheld mode. I have been playing my switch a lot more recently, but am really looking forward to the steamdeck.

worfamerryman,

I’ve played this game a bit and I really don’t understand why it can’t be scaled down visually to work. It’s not some game that needs to target high fps or something.

worfamerryman,

I guess I’m having trouble wrapping my head around why this game needs such high specs.

worfamerryman,

I guess what I’m really wondering is, is this game unoptimzed causing it to need higher specs?

worfamerryman,

I’m pretty excited for this game. Luckily, I haven’t played divinity original sin 2 and it’s available on the switch. After I finish Disco Elysium and Divinity Original Sin 2 I’ll pickup a steam deck and this game.

worfamerryman,

I wonder if this is largely why I stopped playing online games?

I played overwatch1 a bunch and while it had dlc, it was nothing you could unlock on your own. I stopped playing overwatch 2 almost immediately.

Private
worfamerryman,

Why did you write this like your a time traveler doing research?

worfamerryman,

Steam deck is high on my shopping list. I would have bought it already if my phone and laptop both didn’t need to be replaced first.

Phones like 4-5 years old and laptop has problems with the keyboard and webcam.

worfamerryman,

Yeah! I’m really looking forward to it.

worfamerryman,

Maybe release 1 good game every year or two instead of 10 mediocre games a year to make as much cash as possible.

I don’t have a convenient way to play this game at the moment, but I’ll pick it up as soon as I get a steam deck.

worfamerryman,

Yeah! This is why I’m mostly play retro games before the j turner was introduced to consoles.

worfamerryman,

I installed the game to check it out. I have a very busy week so I just played through the tutorial section at the start of the game.

Im not saying it doesn’t look go, but why does this game have such high hardware requirements?

worfamerryman,

Ohh, thanks. I guess I got this confused with another game or maybe I misread min and recommended specs.

worfamerryman,

The steam deck is so amazing. I’m so close to pulling the trigger on one, but am wondering if I should wait for a cpu upgrade.

worfamerryman,

I’ll totally get a steam deck over any other handheld, just wondering if waiting for a steam deck with better cpu is the right choice.

I’m not in a position to buy it today anyway.

worfamerryman,

I too am waiting on the next version. I need a new phone and laptop before I can think about a steamdeck. So hopefully a new one will be out by the time I am ready to buy it.

worfamerryman,

Website has a link to a Reddit post which is just a link to YouTube. How many jumps did I need to make to watch the video at the source?😂

worfamerryman,

If there a commentary to explain what’s going on?

worfamerryman,

Thank you, I must have overlooked those links.

worfamerryman,

I’ve heard of a few but I honestly can’t recall I think maybe link to the past was decompiled. Maybe one of the sonic games.

I used to ai to the regames subreddit which was all about reverse engineering.

Xbox's biggest crisis right now isn't games. It's hardware. (Opinion - Jez Corden) (www.windowscentral.com) angielski

"Today, PlayStation revealed that its PS5 has sold 40 million units. Microsoft doesn’t share hardware numbers typically, but court documents, math, and slides from an ID@Xbox in Brazil seem to suggest the Xbox Series X|S line-up is around 20-23 million units sold globally. That essentially puts the PS5 at a 2:1 advantage...

worfamerryman,

They could be pushing out perfect dark games, banjo kazooy, what else do they have? So many things!

worfamerryman,

Yeah it works. Well at least the last time I tried which was a few years ago but I imagine it still works fine.

worfamerryman,

You will have to search for how to do it. I never played with addons. I’m a pretty casual mmo player.

Where are all the good stealth games?

I’ve been trying to find one throughout the Steam summer sale and come up dry, and now I’m out of money until the 15th. Hopefully y’all can help me find a good one before the winter sale. Here’s a rundown of what I’ve tried so far and what I’ve liked and dislike about them:...

worfamerryman,

Maybe the real stealth has been finding the stealth games .

worfamerryman,

There is a paper book I wanted to buy, but it’s not an option. I can only find a paper version used that is being sold for like $200.

The book is called “Parasite Eve”.

Yes, the game was kind of a loose sequel to the book.

worfamerryman,

Well I doubt those works are copyrighted. So I’d just find the text remove any special formatting or characters and look for a printing service.

worfamerryman,

If you run for Pope I’d vote for you under the condition that you make all the historical documents digitally available for anyone to view freely.

worfamerryman,

I think the documents he is referring to existed long before the United States was even a country. I think he is talking about stuff that was literally written like 800 years ago.

worfamerryman,

Doesn’t jail seem a bit excessive? Maybe just fine him a significant amount. But jail for a nonviolent crime is pretty steep.

worfamerryman,

Just make the financial trouble for them much higher. Jail is too harsh a punishment for most crimes in my opinion.

worfamerryman,

I just can get over the idea locking any person who is not a physical threat to others in a cage. It just seems so inhumane.

worfamerryman,

I am having trouble thinking of an example, but I know for sure that I have turned off a few games because the tutorial was just long and boring.

One of them was Pokemon Arcus, or however it is spelled.
