Well, there’s a huge reason! Those who decide such things should be in the game judge others by what they would do and because they’re bunch of thieves, they think everyone is. They’re also tech illiterate enough to think this will actually stop someone from pirating the game.
The CEO represents the company that developed the game. And in this context, dev = the company that developed the game. So yeah, it’s the dev [company] talking about stuff.
They’re good at that. I remember trying Skyrim when it was new and we all didn’t know there would be like 15 rereleases and it felt weirdly dated. I couldn’t really put my finger on why, it just felt old.
