Everything feels very fast! Now, only major issue to me is the broken federation. With some magazines I can see 2-3 posts er 10 (out of let's say 10), in other magazines with similar activity no new posts for the last few days

I don't see many posts in magazines from lemmy.world, lemmy.ca, lemdroid and more

The very first game I remember was Alex Kidd on Master System II, my mother was always playing it!

The very first I played was probably NFS 3 on PC with my father. I remember playing it during the 1999 Athens earthquake aftershocks and getting scared

This move makes me believe the rumors of them wanting out of the console buriness are true. May be bad for consumers initially, but at the end of the day, it's just a glorified PC at this point with better optimization from the developers. I'm not too worried for the future

I don't agree. While it doesn't reinvent the wheel, it is surely an improvement to the previous ones and plays very very nicely. Try the demo for yourself

Good gaming experiences with no HUD? angielski

I’m starting to find that HUDs in games clutter the screen and take away from being fully immersed in the game. I like games that force you to pay attention to what’s going on in the game and not numbers/markers on the edges of the display. What are some of your favorite games to play with no HUD? Here are a few of mine:...

VR is decent enough that you can get lost in the game as is. Even if momentarily, like trying to kick the ball while playing ping pong and it falls near you

I believe only the local Co-op was removed though? And the optimizations made for XSS were beneficial to all other platforms as well as they stated, and the game runs now much better on PC and PS5

I doubt they would do the optimizations at the same degree, because they wouldn't need to. It was working fine on the PS5 already, it was already a success on PC. Why bother much?

Godot Engine hits over 50K euros per month in funding (www.gamingonlinux.com) angielski

One of the big winners of the Unity debacle is the free and open source Godot Engine, which has seen its funding soar to a much more impressive level as Unity basically gave them free advertising. Certainly helps that Godot ended up launching their new funding platform on the same day Unity announced their hated Runtime Fee...

Just started lessons myself for it. Looks easy enough for basic gesture like the one I want to do!

Lately the Android performance has improved a lot for me. Most games I want have become playable. Pokémon Legends Arceus needs some work though, last time I checked...

The company is called 2K. Also, it is their "brand" since forever e.g. 2K5 for the 2005 one

I just miss the sport games of 10-20 years ago. They were just fun. Of course they weren't perfect but we didn't care. Now microtransactions have ruined everything....

QTE can be done well imho, for example in Yakuza series they are rare enough to not annoy you and not THAT important but if you can hit them when they appear, it makes your hit just more powerful
