I know they don’t have the same supply chain at all but Apple sells an entry Mac Mini for $600. That makes me feel like a similarly priced Steam Machine is possible.
When Facebook was just starting to be popular I was telling my uncle how people will get exposure to more of the world and be more open to it. He told me he was afraid the wrong people would find each other too. Fast forward 15 years he gets red pilled and dies of Covid.
I’m hooked on Nightreign right now. It would be pretty nice if there was a special pause ping you could do that paused the game if the other two players agreed with reply pings.
That used to be a more popular sentiment but somehow CDPR manages to get a bunch of goodwill and the ‘labor of love’ award after… fixing all the bugs that still existed in their botched releae.
I have to agree with Frezik too. At least for me, the graphics and storyline are top notch but the gameplay and other mechanics are pretty average. And the open world is stunning to traverse but you realize if you explore a bit more deeply that it’s pretty dead and there’s not much to discover.
You can make the case that it’s not a fun use of our time but how is it not tied to difficulty? Being able to get to the boss with enough health or consummables is certainly part of the intended challenge.
Hm maybe my memory of the post is fuzzy but that is more pervy than I recalled. Still gets to the larger point though about how we talk about violence in graphic detail with no self-consciousness but can’t do the same for sexuality.
Leading up to the release of Cyberpunk 2077 a relatively innocent post about whether players would be able to romance anyone and sleep with them. The absolute mockery and scorn OP received was shameful. It really struck me because it was so clear how we’ve been conditioned to reject sexuality while at the same time being ultra-desensitized to violence.
