Finland also has a disproportionate amount of highly successful games compared to the population. I guess one theory is that good social safety nets make it more feasible for people to take a risk starting an indie game studio that might not yield any money for years instead of working for a big corporation for a guaranteed paycheck.

BAR is really more close to supreme commander to the point that when i first saw it i was thinking “wait what they made a new supreme commander”

they dont expect to be funded only by kickstarter unless they get like ten times the goal but its more to see if people want that sort of game to possibly help securing publisher funding or just fund themselves like they have done the years until now

I think that the game exists because all the SC2 pros decided that the game is starting to become a bit too old and blizzard cannot be trusted with making games anymore so they gotta make starcraft 3 themselves.
