Why is everyone pretending like they have a right to play Nintendo games? Nintendo says they want $X, you say their game isn’t worth $X, so you get something different instead. What’s the problem?
If you’re at a flea market and can’t reach an agreement on the price, do you just throw a tantrum at the vendor and take their stuff anyway?
I think this is valid criticism. We buy games to have fun, not to have some more work outside of work. If the game forces you to “git gud” in order to have fun, it’s not doing its job.
Of course some people like the experience of honing a skill in order to overcome the obstacles posed by a game. But a developer cannot expect that of every gamer and not provide any means to reduce the challenge.
I sometimes play Switch at a friend’s. After a few hours my hands hurt. It seems the controllers were designed for toddler hands. Is a steam deck better?
