After I had gotten the hang of Hellblade’s combat on the adaptive difficulty I turned it to easy by the end because killing enemies had become just a slog. Funnily enough it coincided with her getting the new ultimate sword and made the game feel much more epic.
BTW, Baldur’s Gate 3 does difficulty very well. Enemies get better abilities and use the good ones more frequently.
Minetest, a completely free and open source Minecraft clone
Picsart, a drawing app. I couldn’t find any free app that is similar in features.
the camera app, to make short videos, even cool stop motion videos, or pictures to paint on with Picsart
Signal, to share her art with the family. Although I don’t think it will run on a tablet.
Toca Boca World, a cute little game where you can decorate houses and play with figures
GCompris, a compilation of learning games, although she seems to have grown out of them in third grade
If you have a PC great games for her besides Minecraft are Spider-Man, Goat Simulator, Life is Strange: True Colors (we play that together) and GTA 5 (seriously, give her a 100% save. the interactivity in that game is through the roof)
I think they actually are unionized. At least in the UK. That’s what some of the Baldur’s Gate 3 actors said when asked about the anti AI strikes. They can’t participate because of the rules of their union.
If I recall correctly there is even a sentence in the article about the British union starting to tackle this issue.
And on the other side we have the Baldur’s Gate actors praising Larian for hiring intimacy coordinators and not requiring themselves to mocap the sex scenes.
Edit: Ah, just saw that this is addressed at the end of the article.
The marketing makes it sound like it’s supposed to be impressive. For such an old game that runs on everything with a computer chip it would just be strange if it was missing.
Nice, i wonder if that also means that we won’t have to download the installers or can just download all of the game files directly. Should make installing big games a lot faster and also help with limited disk space.
Because they can be sued for that. Have been sued for that. And while it is possible to reverse engineer this stuff it is incredibly hard to do. So games with smaller fanbases might lack the manpower to achieve it. Or the game was made in such a way as to make reverse engineering impossible.
It’s not impossible at all. People have done this literally for decades. Classic WoW only exists because people hosted their own seevers and Blizzard wanted in on the money. Star Wars Galaxies the same. I think Everquest 1 as well. And probably others as well.
