TopRamenBinLaden,

Not really. Just Sega CD. The PlayStation and the Saturn both came out in 1994 so they were directly competing with each other. The Dreamcast didn’t come out until 1998, after the PlayStation was already successful.

TopRamenBinLaden,

Dirt Rally 2 with even a cheap driving simulator setup is incredible. It’s like the dark souls of racing games, and doesn’t hold your hand at all.

Assetto Corsa is another great one with a simulator. The amount of mods, cars, and tracks added to the game has made enough content to keep someone entertained for probably their whole life.

Really, any modern racing game that uses wheel and pedals are amazing compared to what existed before that. Luckily, even the good direct drive wheels and good pedal setups have gotten more affordable in recent times.

Best rally Sim is definitely debatable, but it most definitely still holds up pretty well against more modern rally sims like Dirt Rally 2.0, and that is insane enough considering it’s age. The mods for RBR have definitely extended its lifespan.

The physics in RBR still feel better to me than the modern rally games like Dirt Rally 2, and WRC9 and what not, and that is incredibly impressive. I will say the modern games are better for competitive play and obviously have better graphics and immersion.

TopRamenBinLaden,

You sound like the kind of person who would just assume Hindu temples were made by Nazis because they contained swastikas. Just because some assholes used a symbol as a dogwhistle doesn’t mean that the rest of the world should stop using it.

Considering that Entropy Zero came out about 13 years after Half Life 2, I would hope it was better. It doesn’t really seem fair to compare the two. They were developed in different times, with different tech, and different games to draw inspiration from. That’s not to mention that Entropy Zero is a mod built on top of Half Life 2, and requires HL2s code to even run in the first place.

TopRamenBinLaden,

I see, I forgot it was a mod. Those are fair points for sure. I kind of like the pacing better in Half Life 1, myself.

TopRamenBinLaden,

I’m not gullible, or a dumbass. Those are harsh words from somebody who can’t understand that not everything is a dogwhistle.

Your username is just as sus by your own logic. Grand Dragon is a title for leaders in the KKK.

TopRamenBinLaden,

Look, I definitely don’t hate you, and hate racists as much as anyone other upstanding citizen should. I honestly appreciate you looking out for them, and the username you called out could be seen as sus, for sure.

Just don’t let assholes steal the symbols for themselves, fuck them. Don’t disparage someone for not knowing about the dogwhistle and/or using a symbol non problematically. That was really my only gripe.

TopRamenBinLaden,

Hey just a quick question, and maybe its dumb, but how did you create such a clean URL for amazon like that?

TopRamenBinLaden,

I also enjoyed it when I got that rare match that wasn’t a teleportation and rubber banding mess. Hopefully rollback fixes that.

TopRamenBinLaden,

Same here. It’s most definitely gotten much better nowadays. There has definitely been a culture shift to where those kind of people stick to their own private discord calls now. The fact that almost every game has a report button for that kind of behavior has definitely helped.

TopRamenBinLaden,

GTA Chinatown Wars was great when it released for Nintendo DS and the PSP. It was actually a really well done update to the GTA 2 style of gameplay that a lot of people missed because it was a portable game. It was available on iOS and Android, too, but not sure if it’s still there.

This has already happened with Tarkov. Tarkov has been copied and cloned, but none of them are nearly as popular. Call of Duty didn’t even really come close, and that’s AAA. The game has already been around for 7 years. You would think someone had the time to make a better extraction shooter by now, but no one has. I honestly wish they would hurry up, because Tarkov is a mess from a netcode and performance perspective, it’s just great in the game design department.

TopRamenBinLaden, (edited )

I prefer Tarkov just a bit, but I honestly really liked dmz too. It wasn’t bad at all. Not nearly as deep as Tarkov, but it didn’t need to be. It had actually decent netcode and hit reg compared to the mess that EFT is. It’s kind of a shame that the mode wasn’t more popular, but thats partially due to the playerbase being so divided between multiplayer and warzone already. I’m still hopeful that they can improve it in the future.

TopRamenBinLaden,

I can’t imagine trying to play CS on the sticks, and apparently Valve’s QA team couldn’t either.

TopRamenBinLaden,

You can just see through the smoke grenades? That’s wild.
