TachyonTele,

It’s not meh, it’s “we’ve almost raised a BILLION dollars by not releasing this game. Oh by the way, there’s no release date yet.”

TachyonTele,

It’s not vaporware, I agree.
It is however, a money scam.

TachyonTele, (edited )

Lol no it doesn’t. It comes from insanely high priced jpegs of ships, and sometimes the rare in game ship.

perfect example 13 days ago on reddit

The RSI Galaxy is a great ship (currently ~$300) and the loaner is an Anvil Carrack which is (currently $600). The Carrack is one of the biggest and best ships for all around activity, but no pilot guns.
Origin 890 Jump ($900) for luxury and is the biggest in-game ship you can buy.
Hammerhead ($700) is the largest combat/gun ship currently, with the Polaris coming out soon.
Reclaimer ($400) is the largest industrial salvage ship.

Absolutely can’t wait until my Galaxy is flyable, still hoping for it to be here by the end of the year

TachyonTele,

Completely ignoring it, are we? Cool cool

TachyonTele,

I can’t blame them at all if they want to throw some Quake in there too after kicking ass with Doom for almost 10 years in a row.

TachyonTele,

It fits so perfectly too. Females? Oh Celeste and op is bi.

Calling women demakes is a new one.
Holy crap, my autocorrect did it too! It changed demakes into females. Wtf

TachyonTele,

I was a huge HL fan back in the day. I recently bought Black Mesa… and had it refunded pretty quickly. I played the demo… ten years ago? And enjoyed it then. But imo it just doesn’t hold up at all.

TachyonTele,

Same here. PA primed me for Rimworld. Never touched it since.

TachyonTele,

Leave Bethsoft alone guys. They’re all out of fun game ideas and need something to do.

TachyonTele,

Because the game is old and hasn’t been worked on in years. They’re no reason to even think about turning off updates for it unless you happen to know the random years later update is coming.

But I learned the hard way awhile ago with Xcom 2. They “update” that all the time, but don’t do anything to the game, is just the shitty launcher they keep updating every month.

TachyonTele,

Who’s taking bets on when they’ll buy the next studio?

TachyonTele,

It was also his one game. Youd do the same if you were done with it and offered more money than you could spend in your life.

That’s a very different scenario than a studio having released multiple games over a couple decades being bought out.

TachyonTele,

/s

TachyonTele,

We got one for not in a while.
Who’s got anything sooner in mind?

TachyonTele,

Right. So not the same situation as the Minecraft guy at all.

It’s apples and oranges. You just took a name you heard and tried to shove into the wrong context.

TachyonTele,

The Minecraft guy was an independent author.

TachyonTele,

They also now own all of the IP those studios created.

TachyonTele,

What really gets me, and this touches on your comment, is that the execs said that they need to have the teams make what they specialize in. And then they turn around and force all the studios to make games that not at all anything they’ve ever made before.

Perfect Dark Reboot Is Allegedly In Bad Shape (www.gamespot.com) angielski

I don’t think big companies know how to make a good FPS campaign anymore, let alone hone in on classic deathmatch multiplayer. The last FPS I bought was Half-Life: Alyx four years ago, and the first one to come along and interest me since then was Phantom Fury, but I’m letting that one iron out bugs for a few weeks before I...

TachyonTele,

Do FPS’s even have hit location reactions anymore?

TachyonTele,

That’s exactly what GoldenEye and Perfect Dark had in spades. The mission structure was a huge part of it too, along with the multiplayer obviously.

Is Ground Branch any good?

Honestly, most non AAA games are far better.

TachyonTele,

Cool, I’ll check it out. Thanks for the recommendation

TachyonTele,

If most of your comments are defending the link that everyone is laughing at, you might just want to ditch it.

TachyonTele,

KSP 2 should have been a huge slam dunk. Take everything from the first one, redo the menus, up the graphics, and add some new stuff. It blows my mind they messed it up so badly.

TachyonTele,

Probably. Nice catch

TachyonTele,

It definitely was a hack job. But it was a little hobby project that a non videogame company decided to be cool about and develop it. It was also an early access for wicked cheap.

The sequel was given way more manpower, experience, and money right from the start.

TachyonTele,

Couldn’t agree more. What really hurts is KSP is one of a kind. There’s nothing else like it. Hopefully someone out there pulls a City Skylines and makes a successor.

But even the sequel to that game was botched… So who knows.

TachyonTele,

Are YOU a lawyer?

TachyonTele, (edited )

You truly have no idea what you’re talking about. Multiple times now you haven’t even been able to grasp something as stupidly simple as different people talking to you.

You sir, are a moron.

It must be a strange feeling to be the current laughing stock of Lemmy right now. I hope you’re able to learn from this.

TachyonTele, (edited )

I’m not the same person you dimwit. You’re combining multiple people’s comments.

How do you want me to backup that you’re not a lawyer? It’s pretty obvious you’re not. Shit, you can’t even comprehend cause and effect.

TachyonTele,

Then try not being so goddamn stupid Lol what a joke

Stop attention seeking with your useless link, for one. Them you won’t have to worry about “getting broadsided” by everyone else that knows better.

TachyonTele,

Take this as a life lesson, and understand that while your view of things changes as you get older, most things generally stay the same.

TachyonTele,

You’re not wrong about that.

TachyonTele,

If this is the coconut it’s been debunked for awhile.

TachyonTele,

All I know about Gmod is from the HL days when it was just about gibbing characters. I’m amazed it’s still around.

What is it these days?
