Can’t speak for everyone, but the reason that I care when one of my favorite IPs has a terrible movie, is because the terrible movie ensures that a good one will never be made.
They did a great job with Fallout, and now they are making a second season.
Then there’s Borderlands.
I still haven’t seen it, but I already know that the Borderlands movie I would have loved will never exist.
My wife and I just finished Super Mario Wonder. It was a lot of fun. Every level has a weird psychedelic section that completely changes the players or the level temporarily. It shakes it up and gives a lot more variety than the other side scrolling Mario games.
I played the crap out of the OG Warcraft games, and thought online play would be fun, but I realized that I play at far too chill of a pace to stand a chance, but strictly turn based tactics games are teeth-grindingly slow, and even if I’m enjoying them, I still eventually get bored and quit.
Sometimes I get a craving to jump in a FPS and just start lighting shit up, but for the most part, I’ve gotten too old for that shit. My reflexes and eyesight can’t keep up with the kids, so I mostly stick with RPGs that allow me to take my time and play when I have a chance.
Of course, most of my favorite games of all time have been both: Fallout, Borderlands, Elder Scrolls.
I’ve been playing so many soundtracks for my background music at work. Of course, nostalgia makes some songs slap harder than they deserve to, so your results may vary, but some of my favorites have been:
Mega Man series
Warcraft (I’m especially fond of Warcraft 2 songs)
Donkey Kong Country series
Variety lists (one hit wonders from games you nearly forgot)
Spotify has a lot of video game playlists, and even some covers in different styles. Right now we’re listening to metal versions of classic games.
I wouldn’t post the login for random people to copy and paste. Still do all that other stuff to remove all traces of yourself from the account, but ask around and talk to people and when you find someone you want to offer it to, send it discreetly.
