Railcar8095,

Should have been called The Legend of Link just to perpetuate the confusion

Railcar8095,

The picture still shows the old video, so I was still trying to understand what the hell was going on in Atlus.

Railcar8095,

My thoughts exactly. I’m not going to boycott them, but good will is lost.

Railcar8095,

At RPS we like Alices. When somebody comes along with the name “Alice” you don’t just say “oh hi” like some insolent rube. You nod with solemn respect and you say, “Alice”. An Alice is someone you should not take lightly, nor take for granted, nor leave unmonitored. For they will destroy worlds and build better ones while you are not looking. This is dangerous and exciting. Alices are a force to be reckoned with. To treat an Alice poorly is to invite shame, dishonour, and contempt. Here are some of the best Alices in video games!

But that’s it, readers. That’s literally ALL the Alices we can possibly think of. What about you? Can you think of any Alices who deserve to be celebrated?

Guys job will probably fall off a window after this, but God he probably felt awesome when publishing

Railcar8095,

Dully noted

Railcar8095,

It’s not a legal thing. Is the message. “I’m not giving you any more access in the future because you broke our agreement.”

Railcar8095,

If only there was a way for dedicated fans to run their own servers for PVE co-op with friends…

Railcar8095,

No. And considering how they are gatekeeping the feature behind a 250$ purchase, it is very lucrative for them to keep it that way. Unless shit hits the fan and the players decide they won’t pay.

Railcar8095,

just piggy-back on steam, which is minimal DRM). The individual developers are responsible for DRM. Is this not true?

Considering Epic is a competitor of Steam and actively pulled the games from steam, this seems rather uninformed.

Railcar8095,

They can DRM, but they won’t use the DRM that’s part of the competitor’s platform, specially when Epic also had their own commercial DRM. Also they develop unreal engine. All of this are easy to check facts that show how little you know about what you’re talking about.

It’s ok not knowing, so why to make so much effort to pretend you know what you’re talking about and arguing with me up facts?

Railcar8095,

I think there are alternative FOSS launchers that you can use if the issue is the launcher itself. On the deck I use Heroic, I think there are also for windows.

Railcar8095,

In that case, consider they have to pay for every download of free games (at least server costs) ;)

Railcar8095,

Also a bad take. Competition is good, and a proper competitor to steam would benefit us all, but users don’t have to support them just on the basis of them being competitors.

I agree “EGS is bad because I want only steam” is silly, but if it’s a worse experience for the individual user or if they perceive it’s involved in non consumer friendly practices, it’s perfectly normal they are not supported.

Railcar8095,

Ok, now I want a Kojima, Kamiya, Yoko Taro and Toriyama colab

Railcar8095,

I hate being that guy… but nobody is emulating windows. It’s a compatibility layer. If they can emulate the x86 instructions (like apple is doing with the M chips and some open source implementations out there) then he compatibility layer could be 100% compiled for arm.

I’ve seen pc games running on phones using this tech. With valve backing, it’s definitely possible, but not before stea,m deck 3

Railcar8095,

The current, unavailable for general download, is Steam OS 3. Valve just refuses to put a number 3 anywhere, do they just pretend the other two do not exist.

BTW, there are a few “almost steam os” out there. I can vouch for Bazzite, it’s fedora based and really good. Very welcoming for beginners, but had a lot of options of you want to dig a bit.
