RGB3x3,

I didn’t even know it was out. I thought it wasn’t coming until later in the year.

There no way this wasn’t a flop

RGB3x3,

So it seems we don’t create our own hero? Which, I get that it would limit facial animations and dialogue, but becoming your own hero was such a huge part of Fable.

Anyway, it looks stunning, graphics-wise. I’m looking forward to it for sure.

RGB3x3,

Hoo boy, Kevin Hart doesn’t even look like he knows how to hold a gun at all. Did nobody think to give him any semblance of weapons training?

RGB3x3,

Please do, I’d never heard of this before now, but it looks interesting.

RGB3x3,

Fuck me, they announced the first switch in 2015?

That thing was underpowered when it came out, let alone now. They could likely grab a bunch of sales by coming out with a higher-powered system alongside a cheaper version, because many people would like to play games at higher than 25 fps.

RGB3x3, (edited )

Because Tears of the Kingdom felt like it was running at 24 fps and 720p, with even further framerate drops, making it feel unplayable.

So it’s become difficult just to actually play games on it. The games have surpassed the ability of the hardware.

RGB3x3,

I was going to buy it.

But now I’m not. I don’t have a PSN account and I don’t care to make one just for this game.

The games industry is real crap now. There’s so much resistance to just being able to download a game and play. It’s always about downloading proprietary launchers, signing up for new accounts, wading through micro transactions, unfinished games, bad stories, and bug-ridden experiences.

It’s exhausting.

RGB3x3,

“Releasing exclusively for Meta Quest 3”

Great, they told us upfront why I don’t need to care about it.

RGB3x3,

It’s really not a wasted search, but I agree this is not the community for the post.

Project 2025 is the Republican’s plan to essentially dismantle government agencies, consolidate power to the president, and make the LGBT+ community illegal. Among many other fucked up things.

The introduction of the document is absolutely essential to read. It’s truly scary stuff.

RGB3x3,

Bunch of ostriches with their heads in the sand. They’ll regret voting Republican when their freedoms are taken away too.

Or they probably won’t because the mental gymnastics they do over there could probably win good at the Olympics.

RGB3x3, (edited )

Probably for engine updates, systems improvements, performance improvements, graphical improvements, to recharge people for more game.

That’s why they would do it, not saying that’s what they did, except that last point.

RGB3x3,

IDK, MS really went all the way with backwards compatibility. They literally built emulators for the 360 and OG Xbox in order to let people play old games using old disks they already owned.

I’d be shocked if they didn’t stay committed to this.

RGB3x3,

Is there a game that will analyze the weapons you’re using before doing a random drop so that the 10 minute boss battle has at least some semblance of a reward?

RGB3x3,

Take-two has always had the IP. 2K, a subsidiary of T2 has published every Borderlands game anyway.

This won’t change anything because Embracer didn’t publish any or the Borderlands games.

RGB3x3,

Crouches repeatedly over your dead body

“Fuck! Sweaty ball smell again!”

RGB3x3,

It’s so easy to forget Luna exists. I feel like 1) it’s just not advertised anywhere, and 2) that nobody talks about it.

Do people even use it? I can’t imagine it’s going to last all that long if even Google can’t make it work.

RGB3x3,

Ooh, that actually sounds like it kicks ass.

I love PvE of small teams against monsters way more than PvP. (Mostly because I get railed in PvP because there’s not enough time in my day to get that good).

EA just added classics like Dungeon Keeper, SimCity 3000, and Populous on Steam (www.theverge.com) angielski

There hasn’t been a lot of good news out of EA lately, but here’s some: the company just launched a bunch of classic games on Steam. The new (old) releases include nine games in total, spanning franchises like Dungeon Keeper, Populous, and SimCity....

RGB3x3,

I always loved SimCity 3000. It was the first city builder I’d ever played.

I can still hear that smooth jazz playing and the sound of screams when I sent a robot and a tornado barreling through the city.

RGB3x3,

Maybe a lawyer could tear this apart and find loopholes, but the law should be so simple as to say:

“A company providing mobile computing services and products, being hardware, software, or networking, shall allow under all circumstances and without restriction, the installation and usage of applications from all sources.”

But of course, I’m not a Lawyer, so there’s probably a loophole to be found in that.

RGB3x3,

Dead by Daylight anyone?

Some of the most toxic pieces of shit up at the higher “ranks.”

RGB3x3,

I love Cocoon, it’s one of my recent favorites

RGB3x3,

Actually, I think the quote was “bitches be trippin’ if they think we gonna put this shit out before it’s good.”

RGB3x3,

The community was freaking the fuck out and it was seriously the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.

People defending exclusives and berating MS for taking their games multiplatform, IGN claiming that Xbox was on fire and dying as a brand, people pissed that somehow Xbox was abandoning loyal fans…

The whole thing was so overblown.

RGB3x3,

Bloober Team aren’t the ones making the marketing materials and are also upset at how bad the trailer is. Konami very likely is misrepresenting the game because the paper pushers and the ones not actually working on the game used their marketing degrees to piece together a corporate video.

RGB3x3,

We need to push to end console exclusivity. It’s bad for the consumer because it pushes more sales of a console you may not want, rather than the consoles competing on their own merit.

RGB3x3,

I’ll always love this image. I remember when it was first posted to Reddit… dedeloo dedeloo dedeloo dedeloo

RGB3x3,

This whole thing is so bizarre to me. People have complained endlessly over the years about game console exclusivity. I personally think it’s bad for the consumer.

And now that MS is talking about putting their experiences on other platforms, people are upset with them? That they’ve somehow lost their way, that the brand is dying?

Seriously, have I lost my mind? What’s going on?

RGB3x3,

Personally, I prefer the Xbox platform over PlayStation’s. I’ve been on it so long that I’d hate to lose all my purchases and progress on everything.

RGB3x3,

Not really. Don’t get me wrong, I’m jealous of the PS exclusives, but I’ve gotten more value out of Game Pass than I would have out of a PlayStation over those years.

Now if Game Pass ends up on PlayStation by some miracle, I’ll be jumping ship.

RGB3x3,

Are people mad about this? Console exclusivity is asinine and bad for gamers.

And MS doing that may pressure Sony to stop playing the exclusivity game too. Nintendo definitely won’t stop that, but maybe Sony will.

RGB3x3,

The changes are more incremental now too. It’s slightly better textures here, better lighting there, maybe a studio puts extra effort into motion nature and animations. But it’s not leaps and bounds better every generation anymore like it used to be.

There was that video going around a couple days ago comparing Arkham Knight to Suicide Squad and that’s a great example of graphics not getting noticeably better if a studio doesn’t really try for it.

But I’ll bet games that start coming out with the latest Unreal Engine, like Senua’s Saga, are going to give some of that feeling of amazement again.

RGB3x3,

Stadia was such a funny story, imo. Nobody thought it would last given Google’s track record of killing products. Then to try to get into the gaming industry, an industry notoriously impossible to break into… And lo and behold, they failed and killed Stadia.

RGB3x3,

The ”2D" planes of Skyrim and Fallout lend themselves much better to exploration than the menu-driven travel of Starfield.

At least you felt like you were finding interesting things and places, instead of traveling to menu icons.

RGB3x3,

Stoner + Priest = Jesus

Yeah, that’s about right.

RGB3x3,

Santa the Christmas Ninja, someone should make a movie

RGB3x3,

Had fun watching the Halo: CE coop, Tunic (my absolute favorite game), BL2, Undertale, and the RE:4 run was really impressive.

Just found out that Cocoon was also included, so I’m watching that now.

Loved this AGDQ!

RGB3x3,

There’s no reason to treat the developers like shit though.

Gamers don’t need to act like entitled bitches about everything. Especially when they continue to play the game. Provide feedback, leave a review, and move on. There’s no excuse for rudeness.

RGB3x3,

It feels like despite all that, Microsoft has had a lot more influence on the gaming industry the last 5 years than Sony because of their Game Pass push. Sony is fine doing what they’ve been doing, which is to put out like 3 great games a year.

Microsoft has struggled with great first-party games, but their services are far more interesting.

RGB3x3,

Fucking finally someone also says this.

I’ve always felt like the game is intentionally punishing in the most frustrating way, which is that there’s input lag.

I can handle a difficult boss. What I can’t handle is a control system that feels completely unfair and laggy.

Good gaming experiences with no HUD? angielski

I’m starting to find that HUDs in games clutter the screen and take away from being fully immersed in the game. I like games that force you to pay attention to what’s going on in the game and not numbers/markers on the edges of the display. What are some of your favorite games to play with no HUD? Here are a few of mine:...

RGB3x3,

Alien: Isolation is genuinely the best horror game ever made and I don’t hear people talk about it enough.

RGB3x3,

Coming 2025

Fuck me, it’s still at least a year and a half off. I’d bet it’s either coming September or November 2025 or being delayed until 2026.

Which would make it at least 12 years since GTA 5’s original release. That’s absolutely nuts.

RGB3x3,

IDK, I said the same thing about Cyberpunk, No Man’s Sky, Diablo IV, Starfield, and what feels like every other AAA game that comes out these days.

Delays and long development times no longer mean quality, if they ever did.

RGB3x3,

For now, at least, Game Pass is definitely the best deal in subscriptions these days. It’s honestly wild to me that it’s not more expensive.

But for sure give it time and it’ll be like $500 a year.

RGB3x3,

It’s not the already released games they’re excited about. It’s the IP ownership. Why create something new when you can recycle old ideas for cheaper?

RGB3x3,

Well of course that mouse would be too small for a Yeti.

RGB3x3,

Yeah, seriously, I’d absolutely adore this from my daughter.
