My friends and I can always find 50 other apps for voice chatting, texting and screen sharing. What pisses me off royally is the thousands of companies/groups that decided instead of making forums or websites or GitHub pages, they would just host EVERYTHING from within Discord’s walled garden.
I’m truly failing to think of any major game publisher not making money from children gambling. Nintendo does it, so do Sony and Microsoft. Unless it’s an indie publisher with a small handful of games, basically every single company is guilty of this.
Tons of research says you’re wrong. Psychopaths and other people with mental issues that diminish their ability to have empathy are absolutely more successful in business than their counterparts. Because capitalism is could, cruel, and uncaring about anyone or anything.
I own a lot of games on GoG, but I fail to see the practical difference. If GoG were to go under, there’s not going to be any free service hosting all your data and the games for download. It all disappears, just like if Steam were to go under.
Guess I’m alone, I really do love good graphics, I love getting lost in the digital world… I’m just not going to pay $100 per game for that experience. It’s the endlessly growing list of shit they want you to buy on top of buying the game itself that’s destroying the video game market. Every new game that comes out has DLCs and expansions and season passes and skins and bullshit bullshit bullshit. Piracy is back in the rise because all the corporations forgot and got too greedy again.
Playing as a Ghoul (with customizable design and even skin texture) is an endgame experience, as the related quest only starts at level 50. Ghouls will have ‘dozens of alternate ways’ to specialize their character, according to the developers....
This might be interesting… if Obsidian had done something like this. However seeing as how this is 76, a game that to this day runs like dog shit and is still the Bethesda game with the most bugs; I don’t think I’ll be enjoying this experience.
This is a very strict bar with a limiting price requirement. As for the title of the post, I fully mean giving the enjoyable feeling 100% of the time. Put forth the niche games which do this, because I do not know of any popular AAA or popular/fairly big developer indie which does this. The game must be playable for 100 hours at...
I was trying both, everything was just really bad frame rates and stuttering, and a few things wouldn’t run after installing specifically Linux marked games on Steam. Back on Win10 everything is running like butter.
Couldn’t have put it better myself. Like, installing it it asked if I wanted extra helpful software and drivers, but I still had to spend a ton of time setting up basic programs. Default video player sucked, default file browser sucked. Having both the dock and the system toolbar is unnecessary, annoying, and confusing for new users. Most of the default apps feel like an Apple OS to me also, like you have NO configuration options, it’s just you get what you get. The Ubuntu software store is a fraction of a fraction of what it should be. Snaps SUCK.
Legends Arceus or whatever it was called could have been my favorite Pokemon game but they took so many weird decisions and made it a chore instead of fun and as always made it super baby mode and didn’t go for any kind of online options. A good 3D Pokemon MMO is possible, but Gamefreak and Nintendo don’t seem to have any interest in one ever existing. Also, I’ll be honest, I see no reason whatsoever that they limit the Pokemon available and cut old ones, with all the money they have and employees, there’s no reason they can’t incorporate every single pokemon into newer games and in an MMO setting they could even do certain ones active at certain times or some other way to make them feel exciting to get.
I’ve never understood the appeal of watching twitch streams, I enjoy the edited compiled stuff with all the boring moments cut out that ends up on YouTube sometimes, but I see no point in watching a dude eating and drinking and staring at his monitor and shouting out to viewers.
Yes and no, there are MANY games I have been forced to use DSX for because they don’t recognize my controller (not that what this update does changes that).

I never play these types of games but I distinctly remember my friend having a full on meltdown about how fucked up the first Cities Skylines was like a decade ago, lol.
I’ve been thinking about making this thread for a few days. Sometimes, I play a game and it has some very basic features that are just not in every other game and I think to myself: Why is this not standard?! and I wanted to know what were yours....
I love a game with a good large settings menu that lets me change as much as possible. If you don’t lock me out of changing all the keybindings then you’re already ahead of the game. I hate when a game has a really badly implemented feature and no way to change it or disable it.

That’s fucked, imagine having no idea, enabling it and being banned from a game you’ve been playing for years because of something your graphics card manufacturer suggested.
It’s over-the-top because people get banned from games with these heavy handed anticheat programs for merely having certain programs on their PCs like Reshade, CheatEngine, Autohotkey, etc. Having those doesn’t mean you’re cheating in the current game you’re playing, but you can still get banned by some games just for them being installed and that’s bullshit. I use Reshade in damn near every game I play and not for any advantage, just to make the game look better, I use CheatEngine sometimes in offline games just for fun but never in online games, and Autohotkey has millions of uses that have nothing to do with cheating but it’s automatically assumed that it’s being used to cheat if it’s running in the background.
You’re glossing over what I said, there are literally anticheats that will scan your system and ban you just for having those installed. That’s bullshit. Also, there’s no reason not to use Reshade on competitive games, I use it to make the colors and sharpening better and I use it on tons of competitive games. Not that I play Valorant because I hate hero/champion games.
