Fairly different games, 2006 was more of a classic linear narrative shooter in the early 2000s tradition but with some brilliant mechanics and novel guns, and a pretty cool storyline (if a bit b-movie-like). 2017 offers a freedom of approach and exploration that’s uncomparable, but it’s also more stern in atmosphere and tone. I don’t have a favourite, but now you made me want to do a replay of 2006
From the ewcerpts in the trailer it looks like they’ve only updated the graphics. Too bad because I always thought the controls were shoddy af and ruined the fun
Not sure how it plays on Deck (UI is pretty small scale iirc) but Morrowind is great if you like RPGs with great atmosphere that don’t hold your hand, and if you’re ok with oldish graphics (some famous mods make it much more palatable however). I don’t particularly like Oblivion or Skyrim, they’re much more generic whereas Morrowind is pretty unique in terms of universe. But then again you’d have to look up how well it runs on the Deck and whether or not you can install the unofficial bugfix mod among other obligatory things
I don’t know the context. I get that consistency can be important. It would be so easy however to give it a beautiful cell shaded treatment, the toy look would lend itself well to it
Yes, ok. Fantastic. Will definitely buy it. These games were such a big part of my childhood. The first one though… Never got really far. I wast too young
Bloody hell, you fished out this memory from the abyss of my mind. I remember it. I was 8. All I wanted was to see those two sea mammals waddle once again in their little creek. Instead, I was granted impossible puzzles.
