Yeah, i feel same-ish.

I used a save game modifier to unlock the cool stuff hidden behind the grind. Since then I spent some time building a base in a nice looking planet and flying around looking for a cool world.

Thing is, you are right: it gets old fast. Planets are boring. There are some cool combinations here and there, but 90% of them are just the same old same old. Seen them once, seen them all.

From time to time i still hop in, but it doesn’t grab me more than a couple of hours every six months or so.

Ai, loverslab comes to mind. Used that to kink the hell out of Sims back in the day.

Could it be AI getting better at solving them, so they need to be more complex? No idea how this works, so just a thought.

The Article dosn’t bring up anything the Austraians have done SO FAR to remove LGBTQI+ content from steam. Is there a creditable source for that?

Shit. Would you provide a source please?

Thanks for the context. Might have been caught up in the crossfire, but very worrying indeed.

Vintage gaming advertising pictures: a gallery angielski

This is probably going to seem wildly low-effort compared to my usual posts here, but I’ve found a bit of a treasure trove of print media gaming ads from magazines and sites. And they’re amazing. I found it so fun to see what companies used to do to promote their games....

Love the PS2 ones. They almost have a Goth vibe in their aesthetics.

My brain defaults to this if I fell the need to fill silence with sound.

Gothic was one of the games of my youth. I am realy looking forward to the remake, thanka for bringing it up.

Recently I have been playing Valheim with my wife again. After a year of more or less non stop caring for the twins we have finally arrived at the point were we can game again together and it makes for even shorter nights but is such a treat to have that back. We used to game and hike a lot together before the children were there. Looking forward to go on long hikes again too, but for now a shared boat ride into the mistlands will do just fine.

Your all-time favorite game? Let's discuss the best options! angielski

I feel like my “all-time favorite” changes depending on my mood, but if I had to pick just one, I’d probably go with The Witcher 3. That game just hit all the right notes—amazing story, incredible world-building, and so much stuff to do without feeling like pointless filler. Plus, the expansions were just as good, if not...

Total War: Warhammer 3. I play it more or less exclusively with a buddy in multiplayer. Been playing since part 1 came out. I love how the addition of magic and flying creatures changed the Total War formula up, the immense size of the map, the mixture of races.

Rimworld with a couple of hundert mods is still at the top, although I tend to let it rest for some months before I pick it up again.

Baldurs Gate 3 and Divinity Original Sin 2 are my favourite RPG games.

Used to play Skyrim with a bassilion mods a LOT and love it for the hours of enjoyment, but after so many years I have possibility played enoth of it… But who knows, might feel the itch and spend 48 hours trying to get every mod to run just to stop playing after one hour again at some point.

Loved the Mass Effect Triology. Only did one playtrough, that was intens and great.

Binding of Isaac is still my go to for a quick 30 minutes gaming session when I feel like it. I realy suck at it too, so after 12 years there’s still a lot left to do.

I find it fascinating that so much of astronomy is having data and trying to make educated guesses about what that data could maybe indicate. It shows just how much more there is to find out, realy.

They have quite big plans, but almost 14. Million € on hand. I hope they manage to achieve their goal.

We produce for the first time high-resolution multi-colour movies with the EHT combined with new telescopes probing the variable extremes of the electromagnetic spectrum (e.g. CTA, MeerKAT/SKA1). The data are analysed and interpreted with innovative models finally combining micro- and macrophysics. The PIs bring together complementary expertise over the entire black hole mass scale in radio imaging and multi-wavelength monitoring, astroparticle physics, and theoretical modelling to bear on the problem. This is accompanied by four major investments: construction of a new mm-wave telescope in Africa enabling full dynamical imaging of black holes with the EHT, new model development, supercomputing hardware, and a vibrant team of young scientists to help develop a new, truly universal black hole paradigm.
