I’ve no doubt she’ll continue to do well, but I’m not sure BG3 directly helped her get the role, other than making her voice recognizable to people. I read an article that said that Sandfall did blind voice auditions for E33. They didn’t even know they’d chosen Charlie Cox until after the fact.
Front Mission was pretty fun, and it looks like there’s a remaster available that shines it up a bit. I don’t remember much about the plot, but you build and outfit a squad of mechs, and you can specialize them for guns, or melee, or rockets or what have you.
They did do a lot of teasing of the moon and the Crystal Palace space station, but there are also signs in-game about a high-speed rail line to Chicago opening in 2080. So the “Chicago but wrong” descriptor might be exactly what it says on the tin.
Before they get too far, can someone please make sure they have the rights to Joe Walsh’s “In The City” this time? It would be fantastic music for an intro, outro, or act break.
Not gonna lie, I was hoping they’d use some Law of Surprise stuff to give Geralt a new ward and let you create your own Witcher. But, if instead I get to do teleport strike bullshit with Ciri’s powers, I’ll be content.
If you liked BG3 and Divinity 2, I’m obligated to mention the Pathfinder games: Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous. The graphics are a touch simple, but the writing is great and the detailed character building scratches an itch for me. As far as I’m concerned, Owlcat is currently the only real competition Larian has.
Can anyone recommend a distro (and desktop environment?) that’s going to be almost the same as desktop mode on the Steam deck? I’m getting more comfortable in that than I expected to be in any Linux, and to my surprise and delight I haven’t had to delve into the command line at all yet.
I saw that one thrown around when I was searching before. I wouldn’t really be playing it for the story, but as long as the story’s there, should I be familiar with the first two?
There’s so much I want to like about Warframe, but last time I tried it I couldn’t get any sense of what a new player’s supposed to do to start progressing, or to get the story in a comprehensible way. The build timers also made me sad. I got all the parts, just give me the Rhino.
Still though, “We All Lift Together” is a certified banger.
