I played through the main story twice and I dont ever remember encountering a character based on Elon or a character voiced by him. His then-girlfriend Grimes has a character with a medium length side-questline, but that character isn’t based on her either. Part of the quest means “dealing with” her new boyfriend, but I didn’t really think that guy was based on Elon either.
There are a lot of corpo people in the game that you deal with, but most of them are just parodies of all billionaires, not really one in particular.
Would be shitty if he’s in Phantom Liberty though.
Well I’m not interested in a more nuanced discussion. I said what I wanted to say. I really find it odd how desperate you are to gain opinions from literally everybody who interacts with your post. Not everybody wants to talk to you.
Just download it somewhere else. Nexus isn’t forced to host any mod thats uploaded.
edit: you also clearly don’t understand why they removed it. The mod itself wasn’t powerful enough to tarnish their reputation. If you actually tried to take a look at their own file submission guidelines, you’ll see that:
Files that remove gender identity including pronouns from a game that have been intentionally put in place by a game developer, when the removal is clearly to be divisive or cause hostility within the community or marginalise specific group(s).
are not allowed, among many other types of files. Why this particular mod is getting attention? I don’t know, perhaps the mod’s creators are trying really hard to get people to notice the removal.
Face it. They deliberately made a mod that went against the site’s guidelines. Why should they or anybody else be pissed off that the site removed it?
The previous world record holder before BG&E2 was Duke Nukem Forever which took 14 years to develop and 9 years from the initial announcement in 2001 to the release in 2010.
I haven’t played far cry 2 yet. I heard the realism kinda messes with the fun in a way, like the malaria and the guns breaking gets in the way of the objectives
I see the site posted a lot so I assumed it’s semi-major but I dunno it’s just an internet news site.
Anyway I agree the “in the field” part is weird. Also the fact that the author knew the “expert” that was cited and the info came from a discord post makes it seem like a bit of a puff piece.
MGSV was another one I loved that felt very similar. Unfortunately I kinda stopped liking it right after the Africa part starts. Afghanistan was super fun though.
