Not sure if this is remotely on topic, but I think it's a good interpretation. There are big changes, but the overall plot follows the books well IMO.
There are issues in the books that wouldn't work on TV, at least not outside of China. Not to mention that maybe 90% of the book characters are Chinese. And perhaps over 90% are men. So I'm not at all bothered that there are major character changes.
The court additionally found that four other individuals fell ill as a result of Xu poisoning drinks in the Yoozoo offices between September and December of that same year, citing disputes with two other coworkers. They all survived.
time to go through Xu's entire history and look for unexplained deaths
I didn’t think The Fly belongs on that list. Just because a movie has someone with special abilities doesn’t make them superheroes. In The Fly, there’s no stopping crime at all in it, in fact he’s closer to a villain, but is more about him going insane. Dead Zone also doesn’t feel like a super hero movie, but he does at least get involved with saving people, so I guess it fits.
It got (quite unfairly imho) generally negative-to-horrible reviews and it did astoundingly bad box office in the US, but I really liked the film when I saw it during its original, brief theatrical run and in fact have been thinking of rewatching it again after all these years. Heck, it’s got Bill Murray!
I don’t understand this blog piece. There’s nothing in the actual article which explains why time is running out to see this film. (Feels like clickbait.)
It’s about time they made a sequel. I saw the highway fight scene from the first time a sequel was in the works and honestly its a shame that there hasn’t been a Matrix 2 yet.
This is going to be very interesting, as Dune Messiah is a radically different book to Dune. It eschews lot of the action and heroics in favor of discussions of politics and statecraft. Very much a slow-burn compared to book I.
