LiamTheBox, w Here's how copyright laws can be dangerous.

Reversing The video does solve the problem. But I get the point

youthinkyouknowme, w theft enjoyers

I’m cheap and like free shit

Father_Redbeard, w A great mobile app for free music
@Father_Redbeard@lemmy.ml avatar

ViMusic is incredible. I’d drop Spotify premium in a heart beat if the rest of my family weren’t on the same plan. Would be nice to save $15/mo

casualsnek, w Spotify downloader

Try github.com/casualsnek/onthespot and let me know if that works good for you ! ;)

There’s a good reason why ACAB is sprayed everywhere around the world.

Bison1911, w Here's how copyright laws can be dangerous.

Everyone should watch Tom Scott’s video on copyright law to see just how outdated the laws currently are and how that hurts online platforms’ ability to fairly moderate this.

AdventureSpoon, w Youtube adblock blocking

I know the topic of whether adblock is piracy is debated

Its not debated. Its bullshit.

flat earthers existing doesnt put the earth's sensual curves up for debate either.

nicetriangle,
@nicetriangle@kbin.social avatar

The argument that it is piracy is as stupid as saying my not paying attention to ads while watching antenna tv is piracy

@j4yc33@kbin.social avatar

It's Cybersecurity.

100%

Absolutely.

Adblocking is good cybersecurity practice. It puts into stark relief how much of Marketing is actually just manipulation and malware.

Lix_xD, w A great mobile app for free music

There’s also innertune (yt music, like vimusic) and xmanager (Spotify)

ArtikBanana,

Just be aware that while xmanager itself is open source, the patched spotify apks it downloads and installs can be filled with obfuscated malware and you have no way of knowing.
The patches aren’t open source.

razibaba, w I started pirating movies again after a decade

welcome again… and i stopped pirating movies and started streaming over internet on pirate website.

snor10, w preach

Our current system of copyright is flawed and only serves the interests of corporations.

SmallAlmond, w VPN for Torrenting

I’m deeply sorry, but I had to mention i2p torrenting, it might become more popular soon.

Sidenote: I2P torrenting doesn’t require a vpn or port forwarding, and is indeed more private.

starchive, w preach

This is what I’ve been saying. We don’t even own digital products, all it takes is a server to be taken down or an account to be lost and all you bought is taken away. Pirating also can’t be stealing because we aren’t taking something away from someone else, other people are not deprived of the chance to have this just because we downloaded it.

I mean if you’re going to break the law at least do it for a decent team.

Sentinian, w preach

Can we not become subreddit by posting this shitty screenshots trying to justify our reasons? Just share your media and enjoy it.

burble, w We’re in a Golden Age of Illegal Sports Streams

I think the reddit streams pages (RIP /r/nbastreams, /r/soccerstreams, etc) were the peak of stream accessibility and quality for me. I have some go-to sites now, but those subreddits were so convenient and easy.
