I stuck with Gamepass because I am a PC gamer. I toyed with PSN but the PS5 controller was not natively recognized by the client at the time I was testing it, which is dumb as fuck. Steam will pick up the controller and use their drivers for most games, but the PSN service just didn’t work with the PS5 controller natively.
Yeah I used to play on PC too but some of the AAA titles had terrible ports that required more performance in my opinion than needed and it was cheaper to switch to ps5 there is no perfect solution I guess lol but the ps5 can play those titles with damn good graphics and not drop many frames but on my PC framrate just sucked and I got sick of windows bull shit as well.
Is Arkane going to start making good games again? After Colantonio stepped down and everything after Prey I’m going to say that’s gonna be a no. Will love to be proven wrong.
You basically get the energy rocket launcher and the two teams fight each other till they run out of spawn tickets. You can’t switch the primary out for another and no AI or Titans from what I saw. Also it’s 2x XP. I’m not that fond of it tbh maybe I just suck.
Y'all know there is no "removing" the pronouns for this mod right? All these do is remove he and she and default to they.
So I guess what I'm saying is I'm glad you're working so hard to remove the antiquated gender binary from your own personal fantasy future game. What a fantastic show of support for the trans and enby community! 😂
It removes "pronoun choice", which isn't a thing that exists in the real world, anyway. You can't choose your pronoun. Your biology and the rules of English grammar dictate it.
In all seriousness, why? You can just leave the default value and be referred to as your preferred pronouns. You can literally do nothing and get exactly what you want. What’s the point in going out of your way to install a mod to effectively do nothing?
For what it’s worth, I am one of these people. I’d already watched a couple of streamers play random sidequests, but when I saw the early game I just couldn’t stomach playing any further.
Yea I have a hard time articulating why, but I preferred 2016 to Eternal.
Also, I think Mick Gordon and id Software aren’t likely to work together anymore, which to me is kinda the nail in the coffin of these reboots.
I don’t think Doom can be Doom without its music composer.
That’s fine. I still feel like we’re not getting nearly as much out of these machines as we could be, another few years without having to worry about stumping out £500 will be nice.
Completely agree. I feel like the ps/xbox are just now (okay maybe up to 6mo ago) been in stock everywhere and it’s actually possible to pick one up at a store without any fuss. We aren’t huge console gamers and still use the first ps4 but have been looking at both the ps5 and Xbox to see if we should upgrade.
I’ve been so happy with the switch, since I haven’t had to worry about a new gen for years and years and it made me use it more and buy more games for it.
As a fan of Ms. Marvel, I enjoyed the main campaign well enough, but all the MMO stuff is obnoxious. Luckily you can mostly ignore it and go through the campaign missions single-player. I uninstalled it after getting to the end of the story.
Zero-K. It’s a competitive online RTS loosely based on the classic Total Annihilation (which led to Planetary Annihilation and Supreme Commander). Some of its features are a bit overcomplicated, but it does an amazing job innovating within the RTS genre.
It’s fast, aggressive, and fun. You spam units, claim territory (in the form of metal-extractors and energy-grid that upgrades their output, and building defenses to protect that) and raid and assault your opponents.
It abandons the hoary old concept of factions, instead giving you your choice of starting factories… and as the game progresses, you can expand into other factories to access the synergy of units. So you start a battle with a narrow slice of the unit-pie, but ultimately can access the whole inventory in a single match. There is no “teching” really, besides constructing resource-buildings, which keeps the focus on resources, construction, and combat.
It has a full single-player campaign that introduces the game’s complexity bit-by-bit… but the campaign does have some difficulty spikes, particularly since the units do get rebalanced once in a while and so an old mission will become suddenly easier or harder as the developers patch the game.
The game has a Lua-based GUI plug-in architecture if you like WoW-style UI mods as well.
