Pretty excited to get my hands on this game 5 days later! Reviews are surprisingly more split than I expected, with some calling it an easy 10/10 while others call it shallow. The general impressions are: If you like Fallout, you’ll love this game. I like Fallout, so I’m in.
By the way, IGN gave this game a 7/10, which is a new one for them because they hand out 9/10s like candy.
You should have read the few lines of the article: it’s not a technological limit, they didn’t want to continue working on RED engine projects when they are shifting to Unreal.
The best review, as always, is to watch the first 20 minutes of gameplay to gauge whether you like it. I’m optimistic, and more than a little surprised at only a singular mention of glitches from a game developed by Bugthesda.
Makes sense since they are moving away from the RED Engine for future releases. Only way I could see them spending more time with Cyberpunk was if the launch hadn’t been so rough (to say the least).
Yeah I only go on for the occasional community day if I like the shiny just so I can transfer it to a game that is actually fun to play. Trouble is I’m running out of fun main line games now too…
I really hope Gamefreak/nintendo can get their house in order, the IP deserves so much better than it’s gotten the past few years. Arceus was an encouraging development, I hope they build on that.
No, for releasing a solid game and following it up with a solid performance patch. If the game sucked at launch, I would understand criticism, but it didn’t.
