deadfatquarterzip, do games w The specter of a GTA 6 delay haunts the games industry: 'Some companies are going to tank' if they guess wrong, says analyst

I’d pay over $100 for GTA6 personally. And microtransactions aren’t out of the question for me either. I don’t have nearly as much time as money these days. Not that I have a lot of money, but I’ll pay it if it makes the experience better

Bristingr,

Comments like yours are why the overwhelming majority of video games these days suck.

Yup. “Please bend me over and fuck me for all I’m worth, corpo daddy!” type energy. Some people just can’t get enough of being exploited.

echodot,

Even if I was a millionaire I wouldn’t want my games to have micro transactions in them. It’s not about the cost, it’s about the fact that as soon as micro transactions are included in the game, the game instantly becomes all about pushing those microtransactions, to the detriment of the gameplay.

Also you are mad if you prepare to pay $100 for GTA VI especially because we all know that it’ll be discounted at some point.

RoosterBoy,

You have no time, but plenty of money, so you are willing to spend extra money just for the sake of having no time AND no money? Get that corpo dick out of your mouth.

Much of my PC gaming, back in the day, was “oh this looks like a good game. Runs like dogshit on my PC though. Maybe I’ll wait until I get a better PC.” [wait 10 years] “My ADHD has gone worse, I can’t play all this stuff”

I can agree with this: All the hype around KCD:2 led me to buying/playing KCD:1

I play Rocket League and ~30,000 MAME games on a converted Arcade 1up. I’m waiting for my payment to go through for Vintage Story though – that one is fairly new!

Still playing Battlefield 1942 mods.

Incorrect.

Second name: ecnarussAeR ytilauQ VoAR

Assurance != ReAssurance

900 million population is more than enough.
(And that much better if they are all gamers :))

When a game cost that much to make and didn’t launch with big numbers, there was no prayer of it ever making money.

Nemo's War is an outstanding solo game, probably one of the best, both tematically and in how much life it has.

As a cooperative though, it is a quite complex game that make it teaching a bit of an ordeal (IMO).
So joining someone's play makes you feeling as if you were dragged along an old sea captain through the complexities of a highly technical submarine.

PushButton, do games w Diablo 1 and 2 devs secure $4.5 million for a new ARPG: 'We're going back to what made those early Diablo games feel so awesome but taking them in some cool, fresh directions'

Please, don’t make it a DRPG.

Like in Dodge Roll Playing Game. I hated POE2 for that.

Dodge,Dodge,Dodge,Dodge, hit once, Dodge,Dodge, hit, get hit, die.

Shiiittt, it’s 4 dodges!

Restart for another 5-10 mins. That’s not hard, that’s annoying.

Please, don’t make that new game into a Dodge fest please…

We’re going back

Awesome. Another high-quality graphical Rogue spinoff? I’m there.

In the meantime, check out Torchlight 1&2 if you need something to tide you over. They’re on the old side, but IMO scratch that itch.
