@realcaseyrollins Are all maps remasters of the original MW2 maps? This game really doesn't feel like a new game, but was originally planned as a Modern Warfare 2 Remake extension to add original maps. That they will include new maps in the future is another good reason to believe that. This shouldn't be a new standalone game for full price.
Maybe you mean Gamefaqs. Not all games have it obviously, but there is a saves category for some. Here Skyrim as an example. And to search for PC games: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc
@asteroidrainfall I think it's only fair to have a 14 days trial for 1 Euros/Dollars. One month trial period was insane anyway. And just to correct the article or add information; this trial is not only for new subscribers in general, but also if you haven't used it in a months. Then you get the offer again. I did that multiple times (it offers me again for 1 Euro), because most of the time I do not have Game Pass subscription.
@GamerKick Game is dead on arrival. There was rumors before the would be always online. Which at least most (not all!) people would have ignored, because this is an online focused game. But Denuvo? As if the masses would pirate an online focused game, that is online only anyway. I don't get this. Hopefully they will remove Denuvo after some time, like some other devs/publishers do.
Is piracy really such an issue for the PC Gaming industry? They must have some data we don't know. Why would they pay millions of Dollars otherwise?
@ReverseModule Looks like the growth comes mostly from Windows (-0.56%) users switching to Linux (+0.52%). MacOS (+0.05%) users mostly seem just to upgrade MacOS and are mostly unaffected by the overall numbers. Inside of the Windows numbers, Windows 10 (-1.56%) users switching to either Windows 11 (+0.92%) or choosing an alternative platform (-0.56%). Numbers do not add up perfectly, because these statistics are estimation based on asking randomly a fraction of the user base.
@PugJesus Do you use a program to automate the posting? In 1 month you already have over 900 threads created. Every few minutes a new one is created. I assume you just copy existing memes in an automated way and post them.
@Hdcase Microsoft has a focus as publisher to publish on PC/Steam, Playstation and Switch, alongside mobile platform and TVs with pre installed streaming and access to Game Pass. The Xbox consoles is only a slice of the entire eco system Microsoft is building up.
I know, but I add the id (its automated anyway) because it makes it a bit easier to follow discussion if others reply too. In example the upvotes will change the order (in my view at least) and I would need to scroll up and down to see who the answer was to. Doesn't matter too much, but if it does not hurt, then I would continue like this. Or does it somehow spam the notification? Then I would reconsider this approach, as my goal is not to annoy anyone.
As for the legal stuff; there is not much else to say for us about the situation.
@Creesch Not everyone agrees with this approach. That's why it is controversial. But fact is, it is a risk to include the keys for anyone hosting the emulator, until it's crisp and clear decided by court or by Nintendo. Until then we (the community), or the dev team, nor any lawyer knows with certainty if this is allowed or not. And that is the problem; we don't know.
@Kolanaki Cracking encryption is considered illegal I think. The only safe way I see is by providing keys to unlock, without breaking the lock. But I don't know enough about this material and just speculate around it.
@Kolanaki BIOS is software that can be rebuild. It's always better to use the original firmware and BIOS for maximum compatibility. The Wii keys on the other hand are not software you can rebuild. These are key codes to unlock a protection, something like a serial key. So the situation is much different from the Bleem thing.
