One of the Arrowhead community managers said they’re trying to get more information regarding regions, so it kinda seems like they weren’t fully prepared for this/got blindsided by Sony a bit. There should be an FAQ/QA with additional info coming soon.
The main story is basically Journey with friends and cosmetics. It expands a bit as you complete each area, easing you into more difficult/spookier content, but it never gets too complex.
There’s also a bunch of secret stuff to find and all of the older seasonal stuff that remains after they ended.
This is also probably the real reason they’re taking a harder stance against mods. Within 24 hours, there’s already a mod on Nexus that adds one of the items you can buy with real money to an early vendor for like 1 coin.
There’s also another mod that just makes all items 1 coin, so it shouldn’t be too hard for modders to just completely circumvent the bullshit mtx.
I could believe this instance specifically isn’t real, but I personally was sent home in elementary/primary school for calling a kid a banana. Sure, I’d called him a shit head a few days before, but I was told to say something nicer and still got suspended.
Navigating Qeynos and Freeport before maps were made, accidentally attacking your guild master and adding your corpse to the pile by falling off of Kelethin bridges due to lag were a right of passage.
In terms of looks, I will say the rocky textures are pretty nice. Also they managed to map actors faces without getting that weird bugeye effect so many other games suffer from.
