There is no way this happened without a LOT of people knowing EXACTLY what was happening, and covering it up. The DoJ should really kick off an investigation into the situation, because it’s pretty obvious there was malfeasance at multiple levels. That, or their leadership and QC processes are both so categorically inept that one could argue the company should be straight up nationalized as a critical strategic asset.
I had an old T60p - yeah, Core 2 Duo baybeeeee. Iirc that was one of the last models that were made under IBM before Lenovo bought the Thinkpad brand. Since then, my primary personal laptop has ALWAYS been a thinkpad, simply because the keyboard IS that good. Seriously, I really do not think that any other laptop line offers a better keyboard, or is so consistently at the top of the pack.
Note: I’m talking specifically about Thinkpads, and particularly the X and T lines. Non-thinkpads are much more of a roll of the dice.
Be that as it may, it’d be minimal compared to the interference that terrestrial radio observatories have to deal with.
I guess I’m just saying that I don’t understand why you’re being so negative about the concept when it’s clearly going to be orders of magnitude better than existing antennae.
For real - it’s so nice nowadays being able to play nearly any hot new game I want to on my desktop. Never been a huge fan of consoles - keyboard+mouse was always far more natural for me, but then again I was big into C&C and SC when I was a kid. The only console I’ve really loved since the N64 is the switch, and that’s largely because I can bring it on a long flight and fuck around in ZELDA: BOTW or TOTK for hours on end, which is awesome (I tend to avoid putting games on my personal dev laptop, and it also only has an iGPU).
Is anyone else irked that the new “standard” season length is 5 seasons, usually of 12 or so episodes? I know there was a lot more fat to trim back in the old days, but I do miss the 7x23 (ish) structure
