SalamenceFury, do gaming w A message from the medic
@SalamenceFury@lemmy.world avatar

In BF6 my most shouted comment was “WHY DID YOU GIVE UP I WAS RIGHT ABOVE YOU” whenever I played medic.

I quickly understood why people don’t like playing medic.

SalamenceFury, do gaming w To the dismay of sweaty 'movement kids,' Battlefield 6 is nerfing Call of Duty sliding and jumping to maintain a 'traditional Battlefield experience'

Yep, it’s the universal titanfall 2 newbie experience. Really humbles some people lol

Adding this to the movement nerfs in BO7 (you can’t ADS while sliding, diving and wall jumping anymore unless you use a perk) this whole thing might have made the devs realize that “oh shit nobody likes mega sweaty movement bullshit other than mega sweats”. No wonder BO6 is kind of a ghost town right now.

Those kids aren’t even good at movement, they just abuse the broken movement mechanics. You can tell they’re awful at it because every time they try to play an actual movement shooter like Titanfall 2 whenever it’s on a huge sale or in a free weekend they get their shit rocked and uninstall after one hour. You’ve not experienced an actual movement demon until you try to shoot at a G100 (max prestige) Titanfall 2 pilot who proceeds to dodge your shots effortlessly, hop all around the map without losing an ounce of momentum just to get you from behind, and shoot you down at Mach 11, while all you can do is look up at them like this:

This is an universal experience for every new player on Titanfall 2. And it’s always super funny.

SalamenceFury, do games w what are in you're top 3 favourite games of all time?
@SalamenceFury@lemmy.world avatar

In no particular order:

  • Megaman X
  • UNDERTALE
  • Call of Duty 4 (campaign, never played MP)

I just really like those three games. They’re all fun in their own ways and in the case of Undertale it shaped a huge part of my 20’s because it was through playing it that I learned to love humanity even with its bumps and scrapes. It kept me from turning into a full on misanthrope.

Honorable mentions go to GTA Online (I have almost 6000 hours in that game total, it’s my favorite pastime), Call of Duty Black Ops 2 (multiplayer), and Titanfall 2.

SalamenceFury, do gaming w I would never be proud of letting the game aim for me

I don’t consider it to be, in fact I wish it was the default for FPS games. I just hate that a lot of the stuff that is supposed to be used by noobs for accessibility gets immediately taken by omegasweats to pubstomp even harder.

I’m Brazilian actually, but I don’t appreciate organizations from ANYWHERE in the world interfering with legal purchases.

Seems like while Australia doesn’t export that much bad stuff, the stuff that does get exported somehow manages to be even worse than other places, for some reason. Collective Shout is a group of TERFs, and Murdoch… well we don’t need to talk about him. And also another bad thing Australia exported was videogame censorship, like the time they banned Hotline Miami 2.

The biggest TERFs in the planet seem to be either Australian or British, and I don’t think that’s a coincidence. Also, Murdoch has caused untold damage to America that is gonna take decades or even a century to fix.

SalamenceFury, do gaming w One more time!

The leaks are pretty much from all corners in the world so it’s not just the US that has OPSEC concerns with this game lmao

Hope every gaming company out there is sweating buckets at this. This is a matter of consumer rights.

@SalamenceFury@lemmy.world avatar

Yeah, as much as I absolutely hate people who draw/write incest and pedophilia on a fetishistic manner I know it’s just the first step to banning any other type of porn.

Those people should probably tag their shit, tho. Furries who are into incest are extremely bad about this.

Basically there’s been right wing/terf/anti-furry think tanks lobbying those companies to stop offering services to anyone involved with porn. Their entire ideology is “perverted nerds are causing the downfall of western society”.

Lobbying, I’d imagine.
