You can filter games by what was in previous bundles so you can see what purely new games you are getting and what are dupes.
But seriously, don’t be afraid to dive in and try the many, MANY games made by small indie devs. This is a great way to discover hidden gems that otherwise might not ever get a chance, and other small projects which might not be your typical game but an interesting experience regardless.
I’ve been playing Marvel Midnight Suns since buying it during a sale and man I cannot believe I missed this game around release, it’s incredible!
I’m not very familiar with marvel outside of the older cartoons and some of the MCU, so I find myself very surprised to find myself really enjoying the non-avengers cast here.
I had never even heard of Magik before this game, and I didn’t know Blade was marvel. Also I love this version of ghost rider. The skull helmet is badass.
In any case I’m shocked at how well the cross between XCOM and a deck builder plays, every character feels distinct from each other while the decks can be customized to lean into different parts of their kit. (Except for Deadpool. I can’t seem to make his kit work very well )
The story is pretty meh though I love hanging out with the large cast between missions. It can feel pretty disjointed though, especially with the dlc missions sprinkled in.
Oh man I hope they keep the pawn system. I ran into so many surprising characters on my journey. I remember recruiting Isobel from Suikoden V and really wishing I could contact the player that made her.
Hopefully they tone down the chattiness of the Pawns a bit though.
To be fair it almost feels like a homage to early bioware. I remember a few bioware games that had this issue. I remember the forums being full of complaints about surprise romances in mass effect or dragon age.
I do think the issue is more prevalent I’m BG3 though.
