I appreciate the rant and the advice! I’ve tried 1 before unmodded so I know a bit of what I’d be getting into. I probably wont wrap back around to 2 until I beat the 3D games but Ill re-review this all then. I play a lot of retro games so Im not unused to following guides and tip lists.
Any combat skill that is a good go to OP one? Im usually most interested in speech skills, maxing them before anything else.
Never heard of this but incredibly excited! I already spend a lot of time playing random 8-bit games, it’ll be nice to have a set with modern quality of life features.
I love Ross pushing for this but it’s hard to believe we will ever see any results. Hopefully he is right and we see so some kind of success in Europe.

Do you find open source games interesting/good thing as a gamer?
@games I am a game developer working on game called Mushy Score. I decided that my niche would be to create open source games. I think these could be helpful for developers or teachers to teach about games and how they are made. Most open source games are small game jam games, but there are few “real games” that are open source like 0 A.D. and Doom. As a non-developer do you think open source games could be good thing?
The only open source game I know is Pixel Dungeon, and I love that one because it has spawned so many derivatives. So I guess I’d support it if it were more common.

I used to play Overwatch with no HUD. The game is definitely not designed around that, but I found I did decently well, and many characters have displays on their guns that relate the same info.
I know Jurassic Park Trespasser infamously used a tatoo on your characters chest instead of a healthbar to avoid using a HUD.
I did the same as you in GTA, very different and fun way to experience the game.
I always thought it’d be cool to make a no UI fighting game, with health being related by the characters appearance (ie more and more beaten up) rather than the usual top of the screen health bars.
I had to restart my first renegade playthrough of Mass Effect to make my character look different, as I couldn’t stand seeing my paragon goodboy being mean to everybody
