Jarmer, do games w Starfield's first DLC is one of the worst Bethesda DLCs of all time

It definitely will be running on the same old tired engine. It’s listed on the wiki as the engine in use already.

Jarmer, (edited ) do games w Starfield's first DLC is one of the worst Bethesda DLCs of all time

That’s exactly how I felt too. I tried SO MANY times to build the ship I wanted. Never could get it done. I even console-command-cheated vendor stock to allow myself access to every part at my home base, and even STILL THEN I could never get it the way I wanted it. It was important to me for role-playing purposes for every crew member on board to have their own bed, and a good kitchen, living space, bathrooms, etc… Stuff that just makes sense for a spaceship that is essentially a flying house. But so many times I could never get the damn ship builder to do what I wanted. I’d change some random part, and then BAM some of my beds would disappear for no reason? Ok well now two of my crew members have nowhere to sleep. wtf.

Just wound up abandoning my entire build and going back to the same ol ship I’d been using the whole game.

spoilerIt’s also absolutely bizarre to me that the end-game ship, the one I had been looking forward to for SO LONG is just completely and totally 100% empty. When I had my crew members on board, they just stood still in place and stared at the wall. What the hell is going on here!??!?!?! That really ruined the entire ship for me. Could never get over that.

Jarmer, do games w Games that force you to make hard choices

Ehhhh, it has a lot of decisions, yes. But in the end: do any of them matter at all? I feel like 99% of my decisions never made any kind of difference whatsoever at the end.

I did a whole bunch of stuff with Shadowheart and she wasn’t even in my ending at all. Totally missing. I did even more crazy stuff with Karlach, and in the end I was given zero dialog or options or chances to do anything with her, the game forced her to say “I’m getting too hot” and fall down and explode and die. I did by far the most stuff with my primary character Astarion, and in the end I got zero options to do anything with the woman he loved and he ran away to hide in a cave.

So… Yes there are lots of options to make decisions one way or another. But none of them matter at all whatsoever in the end. So, don’t be too in awe, because the way they make the story work is just totally ignoring anything you ever did.

Jarmer, do games w Stop using Fandom

and recently the AI written garbage “gamer” websites have become a problem as well. You can tell instantly that some ai just collected and regurgitated a bunch of text that doesn’t even make sense.

Now I pretty much stick just to the fan created wikis. Stuff like bg3.wiki and uesp.net

Jarmer, do gaming w KOTOR Remake feared cancelled after Sony quietly pulls tweets and videos

We knew this was happening a long time ago though. This is probably just Sony making it “official” in an unofficial way. This project has been dead for ages since the dev team was pulled off it long ago.

Jarmer, do gaming w Game Introduces Easy Mode Called “I’m 35 and Have One Hour to Play This”

Wow that looks really good. I like the map style of choosing where you started. And it seemed to run really smoothly performance wise.

Jarmer, do gaming w ΔV: Rings of Saturn - A Momentous Milestone - 1.0 release!

There’s a free demo on steam as well! Give it a try. We need more of these style games.

Jarmer, do gaming w What are your favorite video games that force you to pull out the pen and paper?

Pillars of Eternity 2 for me. Had TONS of pages of notes of build ideas, locations, treasures, remembering to go to X at Y level, etc… Absolutely had a blast with that game.

Jarmer, do gaming w What are your favorite video games that force you to pull out the pen and paper?

I did the same for wasteland 3~! Had a bunch of pages of notes trying to remember where to come back to, etc… Love it!

Jarmer, do games w Gaming handhelds, like the Switch and Steam Deck, will need to have a replaceable battery by 2027 in EU | overkill.wtf

This is a very good thing. Thank you EU for forcing us dirty heathens in NA to have consumer protections.
