I guess you had to grow up playing Zelda games after Link to the Past in order to enjoy the gameplay. Coming from other systems, it was very unintuitive, uncomfortable, and basically unplayable since we couldn’t remap the controls. Also, the world was just kind of dead?
I find it bizarre that someone would ever pigeonhole themselves into one developer. I don’t even know who makes games half the time. There’s only one that I have blocked on Steam.
I can only do a round or two before the particle effects hurt my eyes too much to continue. The new Among US DLC is really bad for that because you can get so many so early, and then extend for over an hour past the thirty minute mark. (That’s about when I got bored and tried to do everything I could so the red deaths would kill me, so I don’t know how long it would have gone).
Honestly it was just a good game. I saw it attracting both Potterheads and non-Potterheads. (I would not consider myself a Potterhead).
Does it have a bunch of replay value? Not really (neither do a lot of games). But man, that initial playthrough was just really good. It also looks like I clocked 113 hours on the game, so that’s a pretty decent return to me.
Also, despite the source material and the author, it had a lot of very inclusive elements, which were a nice touch.
