Everything is of course subjective. But it was a unique concept and execution. With solid gameplay and decent graphics in an era known for originating the boomer shooter and all its clones.

If you crave run and gun, probably not. But if you enjoy the kitschy, retro James Bond, Secret Agent aesthetic. And very early, but decent female protagonist. It's a lot of fun.

That can definitely be said about a lot of classics from that era. Things have changed a lot since then for better and for worse. It's an absolutely unique experience, though. I would love to see a more modern take on it if it were possible.

Yes, I started in Vanilla/BC. Wow isn't for everyone. But right now, between the deluge of content it's built up historically and currently. The current system respects player time and desire much more than any in the past. If you want to just do Battlegrounds and PvP while gearing, you can do that. If you want to do world content while gearing, that's becoming more and more viable as well. Plus you can always do the old path of raiding. And in this next expansion, PvE play and gearing is going to get even better.

Is there a alternative platform to roblox for players and gamedevs?

Is there a alternative to roblox (preferably free) that is just better overall and dosent take advantage of everyone? I want to make games but also be a player… How might i do so and not use roblox? It feels like most clones are dead or close to it but what do you think? What do you suggest and why so?

As others have said. Minecraft is the more known and established. Luanti is awesome though. It can do "Minecraft" and so much more. I'd say it really comes down to external factors.

Do your friends already play Minecraft. And if the don't, are they going to have money to put towards it? In the end there's nothing saying you can't do both. I will say this though. Installing and running a dedicated server for Minecraft, bedrock at least. Was way harder than luanti. But if you aren't planning on self hosting then you don't have to worry about that.

Yep, luanti can do *Minecraft. And much much more. Luanti has the potential to become a platform more like roblox.
