Absolutely, I remember seeing the original preview trailer with the tag line “Release Date: When it’s ready.” And I was like wow mad respect this is gonna rock. What a fucking bait and switch that was.
I can say I am replaying it now on the exact same PC setup I used 3 years ago and it is a completely different experience. No crashes, no glitches (so far), no random naked T posing on my motorcycle (which is kind of sad, that shit was hilarious). The skills system is totally reworked and I put it to hard difficulty and the enemies now put up more of a fight (AI is still kind of dumb tho). Cops actually chase you, you can finally shoot out of your car (there’s also new skills in the skill tree for improving vehicle abilities). Sooo it’s worth revisiting even if you don’t buy the DLC, IMO.
First play through ignore the grading system. I know I’m going to get a crap grade - I need practice, upgrades, moves unlocked etc. I will only worry about that system on a second play through where I know exactly what I’m doing and now I’m ready to try perfecting it. At that point I must still be enjoying the game and the challenge of doing better. Most games I never do this, but some of them are really fun. I think if you worry about the grade right away its like skipping classes and homework and going straight to the test. Yeah, you’re probably going to have a rough time.
Unsurprising. They already split remake up to milk more money out of long time fans, and now they’re doubling down on the mobile market. I remember long wishing for a remake and now I want my wish back. DAMN YOU MONKEY’S PAW!!!
I cant show mine, but I gotta say I just unlocked the tetrapod legs last night my inner child is loving it. Those things were awesome in the old playstation days and they seem pretty fucking awesome still now. I wanna load it up with firing stance weapons and go ballistic
Its not a surprise either, these guys have put out a couple preview trailers and have been promoting the game for like a year now. Looks cool, been on my wish list for awhile
