Do you find open source games interesting/good thing as a gamer?
@games I am a game developer working on game called Mushy Score. I decided that my niche would be to create open source games. I think these could be helpful for developers or teachers to teach about games and how they are made. Most open source games are small game jam games, but there are few “real games” that are open source like 0 A.D. and Doom. As a non-developer do you think open source games could be good thing?
Shattered Pixel Dungeon is the best mobile game I’ve played since FTL and that was only available on tablet. It’s a wonderful game. I like it so much that I sent the developer $10 just as a sign of appreciation.
There will be millions of applicants for this. They’ll get the cream of the crop for this experiment. If we ever end up actually going to mars then these people will be in every history book.
Well, as a guy, I’ve been asked multiple times why I systematically play games female characters in video games, to the point of skipping a game if I’m forced to pay a male one, with a few exceptions (I really liked Albus from Troubleshooters for example). Whenever there’s romance in a game, I’ll also take the F/F route....
I played a female character in WoW because I was an avid PVPer and the neckbeards hated getting killed by a female. Also because I’d rather look at a female posterior while I’m playing than a male’s.
Nice! I used a Logitech MX518 for around 12 years before I finally decided it was too grody to continue using. I heard they released a MX518 homage mouse a few years ago, and I’m thinking about getting one. They were the perfect mice.
It’s gone. Computers will never again be as exciting as they were in the early 00’s, because every new advancement now comes with an infringement, a “gotcha”, a sacrifice of your privacy, and a subscription to cap it off. Computers used to feel personal, they felt empowering, they felt like they were yours, and they were a gateway to a million little worlds created by people of all sorts. Now they feel like corporate advertising platforms that are just a gateway to other corporate advertising platforms.
I’ve done all of that except for pi hole, and that’s just because NextDNS seems to be doing the job, although they probably sell my information too. I really should set Pi Hole up, especially since I already have a Raspberry Pi running all the time for my 3d Printer, running OctoPrint, and Klipper. I’ll need to test and see if it can run all 3 at once. Unfortunately that doesn’t really negate what I said. Every new exciting technology is rife with spyware, and the old Internet, while not gone, is certainly buried under a massive pile of corporate garbage. Google, Bing, DDG, hell, even Kagi have a hell of a time finding little useful websites built because of passion, instead of profit now.
That sounds cool. My only exposure to Pathfinder was the Pathfinder: Kingmaker game, which felt a lot like the predecessor to Baldur’s Gate 3. I haven’t played it on Table Top. I’d definitely try it if someone had the books though. I already have a lot of D&D books, which makes it my go-to game.
What a wasted opportunity. The Academy Awards don’t resort to advertising upcoming movies the whole time, they take a pause to appreciate what they’ve made. The game of the year awards should do the same.
Are you playing with a mouse on a PC? Try it with a controller, it completely changes the game. The PS5 movement system is vastly superior to the PC movement with a mouse.
I have it on both PC and PS5 and I greatly prefer it on PS5. My computer loads things faster, and it looks better, but the PS5 version is much more immersive and considerably easier to move around. Inventory management is a lot better on PC though.
Does it? I haven’t tried. When I tried to use a PS4 Pro controller in the past it messed it up and I had to reset it to use it with the console again. Can you use PS5 controllers with a Linux PC?
Idk about most popular, just the one that occurs most naturally. I tried to get with Karlach and it never happened. I never tried to get with Shadowheart, but it still happened.
Edit: I wonder if this means Shadowheart has the most sexual partners of anyone anywhere, across all games and platforms.
I didn’t get to talk to anyone at the party after defeating the goblin leaders. I think it’s because I went to a long rest before talking to Halsten back at the grove. Everyone was there, but initiating conversations did nothing.
True, Lae’zel was pretty horny. I didn’t have her in my first playthrough, so I didn’t realize how forward she is until this current playthrough. I laughed that one of the responses to her initial advance is “just one word, ew!”. Haha!
What’s silly is when they immediately know you’ve stolen something, even though nobody was around when you took it. You shouldn’t have to sneak if there’s nobody there.
