I don’t know, but if I ever create a meme game (assuming I ever got the opportunity), I’m definitely gonna market it as a AAAAAAAAAA game that was so good we had to downgrade it to a meme because your face would melt just by looking at the title screen due to how high quality it was.
I’m probably not as great at it as I think I am, but would absolutely love to at least participate in a local Sonic Riders Zero Gravity (PS2 version with stock controllers to ensure a fair fight) tournament.
First eight unlocked characters only with default extreme gear. A test of how well you can play the character. So long as I can get anyone besides the two default air riders, I’ll be fine.
Requires a controller, looks like an N64 title, and controls like one as well. Isn’t as long as some games, but it’s long enough that I got hours out of it before finishing. Heard of it from someone on Lemmy a long time ago.

Sonic Riders, the currently dead Sonic racing spin-off. Don’t have any experience with the third entry since I’ve never used a kinect, but building/branching off of Zero Gravity would be amazing.
If anything, the only thing that other stores have that Steam doesn’t would be games not on Steam. Even then, half of the time, they’re either itch(dot)io exclusive indie titles or shitty triple AAA titles.

Fair enough. It’s mostly 3rd person 3D, but the view isn’t always great, making for some frustration. There are, if I remember correctly, a couple 2D levels where you play as the army bird guy, but otherwise, it’s 3D.
One of the biggest problems I will say about the game, though, is that you won’t always be able to tell where you’ll land when gliding and will probably lose plenty of lives because of it.
Pokemon Uranium. The (in)famous(?) banned fan game that is still being developed. Minus a couple pokemon, it follows the Black and White philosophy of having no returning pokemon.
I’ve played through the game multiple times, beating the final fight for the main story and calling it there, without hating myself or the game.
Hell, I’ve even gone through the trouble of completing the pokedex once and struggled to find an early route bird for the last two entries I needed. Pokedex for that game can be hard because when it comes to 2 of the pokemon, you can only get one per save and must online trade to get the counterpart and 1 line is a trade evolution with no in game trades for it or trade evo items. Obviously starters require online trade, too.
Only problem I have with it is the fact I’m still waiting for the rest of the post game to be developed and released so I can hopefully get the unreleased legendaries you can find on the fandom wiki.
Least favorite has to be a tie between switch joycons in general and the circle pad on 3DS.
Joycons on their own are too small to be all too comfortable disconnected and connected they’re slightly better since I can position part of my hand on the back of the switch, so there’s at least that.
And with the 3DS circle pad, it’s just nowhere near sensitive enough. Movements feel too quick, with little to no control over how far the pad move, in my opinion.
As for favorite, I’ll say that in general I absolutely hate track pads and everything they stand for, but steam deck is the only exception. With most track pads I’ve used recently outside of the steam deck, I have trouble clicking since the mouse buttons are built into the track pad and half of the time feel like they don’t work. Though with the deck I find it real easy to just click pretty much anywhere on pad and it’ll click for me.
Only problem I’ve had with deck pads is that sometimes the click is a bit too sensitive for me, so I’ll sometimes accidentally click while on the onscreen keyboard by accident or click while playing a game like Gemcraft, making me deselect a gem or power up while dragging over.
I imagine fans have already found a way to create their own servers for that very instance. Just to ensure this type of stuff cannot happen to those hardcore dedicated fans.
I’d say it’s absolutely insane that someone might actually be able to take the creators of Elden Ring to court over the fact they’re not good enough to beat a game intentionally made to be hard. I imagine they’re the same people who would try and sue Sintendo over a Mrio Mker level that they can’t beat first try.
