i dunno about pricing in the us, but try get at least a BX50 tier motherboard. B450 works and might be cheaper, but make sure the bios is compatible with your chip.

i tend to highly favor taiwanese manufacturers like asus and msi. i don’t think anything else is worth spending your hard earned money on.

b450, b550 and i think (dont quote me on it) b350 also supports the 5600g.

the a series chipset usually comes with weak power delivery which might not be adequate for upgrades, and lower tier components.

Some b350 boards are compatible, but not all, and you may need to use an older compatible CPU to do a bios upgrade before the 5000 series will work on some b350 boards too - iirc
