It was a gimmick. Execeptionally Well executed gimmick? Yes. It took creative vision and the commitment to see it through and that is important, But DSR is just on another level. It’s like Ozymandius VS Dr Manhattan.
They're going for different things, so it's not even apples to apples, but if any game had a right to beat <the one you think you should have won>, it's probably the one that revolves around its sound design.
Good for Sega. But have they released anything worthwhile recently? The OG Angry Birds was a fun game but I feel like they milked it with all its worth and people got sick of it pretty soon after.
I think the idea is that this way they can work on things that aren’t Angry Birds, Sega has a lot of IP. Sega just seems to want a developer with a track history that can make things for that market. They also seem to want to make sega look more appealing to future buyers so having a mobile arm probably helps there.
