Apologies - that was not a dig at the validity of the information provided.

That’s a very high number - so I had to either be misunderstanding the number or underestimating the number of employees the bonus was going to.

Im gonna need a fact check on that bonus number.

etchinghillside, do games w Stardew Valley dethrones Valve classic Portal 2 as Steam’s top-rated game

No pressure on their next game or anything.

etchinghillside, do games w Yep, I actually own 7,255 games on Steam. I’ve played 23% of my library. I regret nothing.

23% average game completion rate? Or “has been loaded at least once”?

etchinghillside, do games w Nexus Mods Sale Sparks Concern in Modding Community

That’s a good chunk of money for some internal moderator to have on hand. (Not that it was an all cash deal.)

etchinghillside, do games w How do you keep track of what games you have played over the years?

www.howlongtobeat.com has some features to help with this. Will enable you to import games and playtimes from Steam.

Did we have many options then? I vaguely recall Nox.

etchinghillside, do games w Pokemon GO Adds Brand New Community Feature, But Not Everyone Is Happy

These Community Camps are special spots that have extra PokeStops and Gyms. But what’s the catch? Well, they are designed to bring local players together.

The feature is part of the Community Ambassador Program, which means there will only be certain players who can create these Campsites. You must apply and eventually get accepted as an Ambassador. There are perks for those who are accepted, you get stuff like free items and support from the game’s team. However, some of the players are saying that it’s hard to get approved, and they are still on the waiting list.

Some trainers seem to be happy with it, they think it would help in making the game more social. While some aren’t really excited for it, they think the developers are trying to “force them to be extroverts.”

etchinghillside, do games w Zynga shuts down Torchlight 3 developer four years after its acquisition

Thanks – It’s on the wishlist. I don’t really play for Seasonal content or anything so I can be patient until a heavy discount.

etchinghillside, do games w Zynga shuts down Torchlight 3 developer four years after its acquisition

Been a while since I played 2.

I recently played 1 and was surprised how well it played on the Steam Deck. Felt very native and is small enough on disk to leave it in for any dungeon slashing needs.

etchinghillside, do games w Zynga shuts down Torchlight 3 developer four years after its acquisition

Had recently picked up Torchlight 3 and been plinking through it on my Steam Deck.

It’s not great - but fits the mindless AARPG genre fine. I’m sure it doesn’t have the depth/mechanics to keep the Exile and Diablo fans happy.

Because you moved on to AAAA?

etchinghillside, do games w Square Enix considered ending Final Fantasy 11 in 2024, but player interest was high enough to keep it alive even after 20+ years

It runs pretty well and everything and I think will scratch the itch.

It’s just a very jarring throwback to the times.

The game was more built around being ran with a controller, so mouse and keyboard is a little janky - I pretty much solely use a keyboard.

Map/travel is very old school. Alt tabbing for maps/routes, boats, etc.

Making a player level to 20, and then immediately starting over to level again for a sub job is an incredibly sadistic thing to ask from an MMO.

I could go on. But it regularly sees 2k+ players online so there must be some subset of people that enjoy it.

I can’t in good conscience recommend this to an internet stranger - because the experience is quite brutal.

But if you do in fact hate yourself - you might look into horizonxi.com
