Sometimes during a sale, I’ll ask myself: if I never get around to playing this 4.99 Indy game, will I still be glad to have given the dev some money to have made such a game? The answer is often yes.
They are literally sequels. 2 and 3. That removes any chance of them being unexpected now doesn’t it you dunce.
Ambitious, sure; if your definition of ambitious is delivering a complete game at release.
Weird? If you think these games are weird I’ll absolutely punish your eyeballs with just some stuff on steam that will leave these two games looking absolutely mainstream.
I started to play this one, then when I was trying to decide how to place some skill points I went down the absolute rabbit hole of online build sharing, and companion apps to help you track how to place your points and what gear you need to aquire, got overwhelmed and bored at the same time and put it down.
Fuck off entirely. Don’t try to hype it, there is only wait and see with this one. They absolutely fucked dragon age already. They could have done nothing but increment on Origins.
Could have gone the larian rout. But no, new engine, new mechanics, every game, that no one ever asked for or wanted.
Stop ruining working formulas. Stop getting hyped for empty promises. Make them earn it.
