Ubisoft has quite a track record for staying on their games as a service. Rainbow Six, For Honor, The Division…
Skull and Bones has a great base to build on (imho!) and I am really curious how the game will develop.
I must also say I got it for 38€ and I think that’s reasonable price for it but I also thinks it has still some issues and bugs, but the most important thing is I actually have fun with it.
Ah fuck it, I know it’s against the meta here but I got it yesterday for 38€ and I actually really like it. Didn’t play the beta, didn’t see any videos beyond the initial trailer years ago and just got it because I like those kind of games.
Oddly it reminds me a lot of Freelancer, you sail, you fight, you trade, you humm to the shanties, you upgrade your gear and ship and sometimes you do all of that together with other players. I don’t care for the hand to hand combat or the land gameplay of Blackflag cause these were actually the things I liked the less, and to be honest I also would not need the land gameplay in Skull and Bones since the real character of the game is your ship.
If you’re fine with that and get it a decent price tag, it’s a really entertaining and fun game. For me after 6 hours of gameplay it would land somewhere between a 7 and an 8 out of 10 I think and I can really see myself playing for a longer time :)
Listen, I don’t play nor like Diablo 4 but is this headline not a little bit misleading since you get the mount skin as a bonus for buying 70€ worth of their stupid premium currency? So you actually pay for the currency and not the mount…
Again the disclaimer that I do not play Diablo 4, nor do I defend Blizzard or microtransactions and I’m a true supporter that the coolest looking stuff should be exclusively achievable by actually playing the freaking game and not fucking pay for it!
If you excuse me now, got to continue playing Last Epoch which is even in its early access fucking amazing.
Fun story but don’t expect much more out of it. Solid 7.
I must say I had more fun with some of these 7 out of 10’s than with any Breath of the Wild, Red Dead Redemption or Elden Ring. So nothing wrong in getting a 7 out of 10.
