Same problem that is crippling every human interaction on earth.
Money and greed.
It all goes to "we can do a good thing that will help people or that people will enjoy" or "we can make crap/do horrible things and get another 5 bucks off each of em", and the latter is always chosen.
It just feels like each game has its own "youre gonna suffer for a very long time, then you will get to good part of the game" energy. And god forbid you put the game down before you reach the end, because you will never get to the end again.
It's more of an indictment on my attention span than the game, but fuck man.
I have been sitting in matchmaking for over 3 hours at this point.
Looks like big streamers can access the game just fine, but I get spinning wheel that is occasionally punctuated with getting an error message and kicked out of the game.
The beta was like a week and a half ago, and matchmaking was crumbling under the small organized stress test. I KNEW that once the open internet hit the matchmaker the whole thing was going to implode.
You can ready up the second you get into an empty lobby, but I don't see any way to just simply choose single player.
That means that if their matchmaking system is down, you don't get to play. And funny enough, their matchmaking system was down all night last night.
My overall largest gripe though is that in PD2, I love how if you are accurate with headshots, helmets pop with a single tap and you can just mow through 30 cops in seconds. In PD3, its taking me 2 to 5 headshots after the first wave. On the easiest setting.
