Im always thrown off as a Canadian when I see these headlines because we’ve been paying $80 for games for decades.
Video games haven’t risen in cost with inflation and they’re much better and bigger now so I’m not super upset, but they are now at the point where I won’t buy a game at release or full price. I think the new price here is $93 cause that’s what the new Indiana jones is going for
What I hate most is that the game actually costs $150 and they split it and give you a stripped version for $80. I think gta 4 was the last game i truly felt made sense, game releases, we buy it, story dlc comes out later we get it, transaction over. No online bullshit that tries to keep you paying money into the game without end. Not a game split into little chunks and sold as tiers at release
Isn’t the good ending geralt giving her a Witcher blade and calling her an official witcher? That to me sets up part 4. End of the day im glad geralt gets a rest. Besides they’re remaking 1 and 2 so the geralt fix will come
I would say gta is one of the only few games I would pay that much for and I know I’ll get my moneys worth, but I’m not interested in gta online. I wish we could get story dlc like we did with gta 4
I still remember the first time playing morrowind and being blown away by the freedom. For some reason my clearest memory of that game is a dude falling from the sky and splatting. Then I stole his magic boots and died the same way.
Son, you’re talking to a guy who spoke no English when he first played the legend of Zelda for NES. Talk about playing a game that doesn’t tell you where to go next
Very odd comparison, you need to buy a ps5 to be a ps5 user, you don’t need to buy anything to be a steam user, you just need to sign up and you’re considered a user.
Again no, that’s not my taste. I’m just saying steam doesn’t work for most people. The convenience of a console alone is always gonna keep me. To know i can buy a game 5 years after the console is released and it’ll run. PC gaming is superior, but it costs way more and takes way more work. Im it’s not convenient for casual people like me, especially since I want to sit on my couch with a controller and not have to interact with a computer
To run the games i wanna play would require a pc worth 3 ps5s
Edit: people here don’t like facts, but where I live a pc that matches a ps5 is around $1500+ it you’re lucky. Yes your pc is better than my ps5 in the same way that your Ferrari is better than my Honda. But I like Hondas.
lol the Nintendo hate is so odd, 99% of games do. It come with the dlc. Unless you buy a season pass additionally. Why only call out Zelda for something that is normal and has been for a long time?
