How do you disprove that this “GOG content” are offline installer files that, as long as you keep them backed up, work indefinitely even if GOG revokes your license to download them again?
From what you played I only played Witcher myself, and recently watched a video on, dunno maybe that can make you understand why people watch gaming videos, it’s essentially about what would happen if you play the game out of order: youtu.be/aA0KgaW513g
I have mostly been playing Baldurs Gate 3 and Beyond All Reason
Isn’t the PC the cheaper option? You act as if the only benefit you get is the upgradeability, but since a desktop doesn’t have to be as small, the components are much cheaper individually, which makes a PC cheaper than a Steam Deck simply looking at performance.
It’s not a necessity to upgrade the PC, and if you never upgrade it, then it also never costs more than the Steam Deck.
In essence upgradeability should be almost not a decision factor, since you probably can “upgrade” the Steam Deck in the future as well: you buy a new Steam Deck handheld once Steam releases a more powerful version. Yeah, you’re not swapping out components, but there’ll very likely be a way to copy over your setup/data, and then the only difference is that the upgrade is more expensive, same as the initial purchase is right now.
Probably because they don’t move around that much and enjoy the much better performance they can get from a desktop. At least that would be my reasons.
You haven’t talked about how much you care about portability and ease of assembly.
The only reasons to buy a Steam Deck is because you can use it on the go, and maybe because it already comes pre-built and pre-configured with an OS. So it would be interesting to know how important those two things are to you.
If they are not/not very important, then a Steam Deck makes no sense, as you can get the same power of hardware for much cheaper in a desktop.
You’re not boring xD different stuff is just for different people. Also you’re just not looking for it or know any good YouTubers.
I also read/watch actual series, but really you probably gotta admit that a tv show or series is probably not that much different than watching a well produced YouTube video of a game, just the content appeals to a different audience.
Yeah but also stuff like, someone made a video about beating a highscore playing Planet Coaster building literally only a swimming pool. I would’ve probably never gotten the idea, it’s not incredibly interesting to play, but it’s fun to see someone do it once.
Usually people watch when they can’t play, I watch on the phone on the toilet, when I eat food, in the bed to relax after I’ve been playing already for hours. It’s cool to see how other people play games you play.
Friend, keeping a partner is also necessary for reproductive success. A child historically had a higher survival rate when parents stayed together. I didn’t say that you actually want to pick anyone up with your conscious mind, I’m just saying that the decisions you make are motivated by reproductive success.
Why do you think you even feel the need to cover up your balding head. It’s the same reason, just suddenly even more obvious.
Then you should probably leave every game, because you can probably find some dumbfucks that argue about this everywhere. There are less than 30 people posting on this Steam discussion linked.
You may not believe it, but most of our behavior is motivated by sex and appealing to our desired mates. Even if you rationally say you don’t want to pick up anyone with your rainbow hat, the original impetus to do it at all comes from a biological mind that is designed to reproduce. Being confident in who you are is a desirable trait in a partner, thus making you more attractive, thus contributing to your biological goal of reproduction. Yes, you have more rational reasons for it than just that, but it’s extremely likely that the wearing of the rainbow hat feels good to you because of million years of evolution to optimize reproductive success.
And yes, even homosexual people are subject to that, even though they technically can’t reproduce. Which I think is pretty funny honestly xD
It’s also interesting that you bring all the heterosexual signals up as some kind of counterpoint… but they serve the same goal.
