caut_R,

The dream duo: Suits that are out of touch with their customers and chasing trends with a multi year delay lol

caut_R,

That’s the kinda forward thinking that I like to hear! Here‘s your 200m, you have 2 years, I expect a prototype of the ingame shop by the end of next week

caut_R,

CPU usage in Monster Hunter World is also quite high and installing the performance boost mod from Nexus doubled the FPS for me. I don‘t think I have a single Japanese PC game that doesn‘t have performance problems.

If you wanna pirate a Denuvo game, you better get comfortable cause those take a long, long while.

caut_R,

It’ll be legally distinct Double Quarter Life 3

caut_R,

I wanna say they‘re not chasing whatever FROM‘s been successful doing recently, but… yeah

I absolutely love Nioh and Nioh 2, avoided their parry game because of mediocre to bad reviews like these, and this now is a PS exclusive so I guess I don‘t even have to make up my mind…

caut_R, (edited )

Really good to see, gonna check out the HUB video too.

Sadly, no DLL swap possible to instantly reap the benefits in older, FSR2-butchered games…

Gonna be interesting to observe how many devs are gonna go back to update their games, especially on consoles.

caut_R,

„It is the second fastest and third best looking iPhone yet!“

caut_R,

Hidden Through Time 2 and Monument Valley 2. Just small games where I liked the first game, I‘m still far from done with my Xmas purchases so no need to go harder for me.

AutoForge - Game that combines Terraria with Factorio? angielski

Just came across this game, and seems like a very good game for people who are into Terraria and or Factioro, as this seems to be a mix of the two. Quite the smart idea if you ask me. The planned Release Date is 27 Mar, 2024, however there is a Demo available on Steam already. I’ve never played Factorio so dont judge me to...

caut_R,

Nice find, I love management games and my gf loved Terraria/Starbound so maybe we just found our new timesink

caut_R,

Lots of the DLC crap was stuff you unlocked by playing in the past. I remember playing DoA 2 and unlocking costumes, DoA 6 has like 2000 bucks worth of DLC costumes or some crap lol

caut_R,

Apparently opened in 2022 in response to how much BF2042 sucked, now closed…

caut_R,

I think the majority of these is people just downloading it to see if it works for 2 hours and never touch it again lol

caut_R,

Anything with pixel graphics or at least no 3D graphics. Slay the Spire, Spelunky, Super Meat Boy, Stardew Valley, I bet Rayman Legends, these kinda games.

3D graphics can run well too if the game‘s sufficiently old (Half Life 2).

caut_R,

Monster Hunter World. I‘d kill for a DLSS3 and FSR3 mod for this game, I want better AA and frame gen so bad. I tried FSR3 in Skyrim and Starfield and it‘s mindblowingly good, so smooth.

caut_R,

My pipe dream is a bunch of new indie studios forming out of all these layoffs and kicking publisher‘s asses on sales with new competent and passionate games.

…But I guess they‘d then probably sell to those publishers again and repeat…

caut_R,
  1. I still have no idea what the game‘s about
  2. It‘s likely cross-gen with the Switch‘s successor and I hope it‘ll be technically more competent than their last Pokemon game - especially since it‘ll have to run on the original Switch again
caut_R,

I wish they‘d stuck with what USUM did visually but in higher res and obviously with more eye candy. Neither the hardware nor the studio seemed to be ready for full 3D Pokemon.

Went from not knowing this game to becoming my most anticipated this year

What games do you recommend for my girlfriend? angielski

My girlfriend has never really gamed. But she’s now forced to move less than she would like to (health problem) and she’s getting bored. I was thinking of introducing her to a game or two that we could play together. She’s not the real action game type, and seeing as she has no experience with controller/mouse and keyboard...

caut_R,

Mine loves Cook Serve Delicious and Stardew Valley. Also Starbound and Terraria.

caut_R, (edited )

Got any more hidden gems like that which you could recommend?

caut_R,

Reads like my personal Monster Hunter World Iceborne experience (eff you, Rajang)

caut_R, (edited )

Monster Hunter World. This game‘s got me in an iron grip. I‘m looking forward to playing the Tales of Arise DLC which is discounted rn to 20 bucks which is the kinda price I would‘ve expected to begin with.

Mario Kart on the side, playing the expansion pass courses, currently at „Mirror.“

caut_R, (edited )

Depending on how far you wanna go, it is IIRC (emulation)

caut_R,

It‘s such a unique game, I‘d rate it way higher if bleak/depressing stories weren‘t a turn off for me, but I liked it regardless which should say a lot

caut_R,

Looking forward to diving into it as well. The price tag for a remake isn‘t worth it for me though, so I‘m gonna „patient gamer“ this one.

caut_R,

I thought Just Cause was pretty meh, Just Cause 2 was incredible regardless of the jank though (played it revently). If you decide to play the second installment, I recommend installing the grappling hook mod that lets you grapple from waaay farther - otherwise traversel becomes a pain since the world‘s insanely big. Also, you gotta turn off a few graphic options on modern PCs or the game crashes randomly (and will still crash regardless when you get close to the skull island, at least for me).

caut_R,

IIRC Watchdogs 2 was slapped in the past for its cringe writing by all review channels I‘m following, so DWAI

caut_R,

Yeah, you can find vocal people who will play the apologist for just about anything, it‘s baffling to the degree that I wonder if there‘s paid actors on social media in this sense

caut_R,

Wait until the reviews are out so people can‘t be warned, and the product can’t be dunked on and then…

caut_R,

I thought that just means alright as in „alright I‘ll play with em“ and now I‘m also confused

Starbreeze admits Payday 3 is massively underperforming (www.gamedeveloper.com) angielski

Payday 3 launched for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S in September 2023 but has seemingly struggled to win over players. The title currently has a ‘mixed’ rating on Steam with over 36,000 user reviews, although the vast majority of recent reviews have been ‘mostly negative.’...

caut_R,

IMO Payday 3‘s biggest problem is that Payday 2 exists

caut_R,

IMO that‘s how actual art‘s supposed to be made. You don‘t just churn it out on a conveyer belt. It‘s a 2D game so it‘s not like technological progress will force them to jump engines over and over again. I‘m not worried.

caut_R, (edited )

This year‘s CK3 DLC package is also very close in price to the „base game.“ Naturally, it provides nowhere near as much content and I refuse to believe it requires nearly as much work to make either.

caut_R,

Care to elaborate?

caut_R,

I‘m playing Monster Hunter World a worrying amount…

Also some CoDBO3 Zombies, a very fun mode too - better than the rest of the game honestly.

caut_R,

Not OP, but Dark Souls 1 is probably the purest Souls experience: Slower and punishes impatience like no other. Depending on how much time you wanna spend reading item descriptions, you‘ll probably need to google things for a few gimmick areas/bosses. I like it more than 3 since it‘s not as influenced by Bloodborne yet thematically and in gameplay; it‘s closer to Demon Souls. It also has the most vertical world, which is such a unique experience. A must play for any Soulsborne fan.

caut_R,

Whenever I saw that game it looked like a generic, soulless, made-by-committee shooter… All footage had strong tech demo vibes. The only thing I can remember about it is „the guns looked kinda weird.“

caut_R,

So it has potential to be a quadruple fail and sink the company?

caut_R, (edited )

Infamously: League of Legends

And ngl, your post comes across as toxic too

What online multiplayer games play well over wifi/higher latency?

I'm thinking turn-based games may work okay in this respect, but which of those might you recommend besides Civ? Also what other types of games work better over wifi/higher latency than you might expect?

I know ideally you'd simply wire up your system to not have to fuss with either, but it's not always an option in some circumstances.

@games

caut_R,

Payday The Heist cause the worse of a connection the host has, the easier the BS onslaughts on high difficulties get lol

caut_R,

Caught up on all the Vampire Survivors content that got released since I last played, now I’m finishing up GRID (2019) and Spiral Knights, with a race or two of Mario Kart.

caut_R,

Does it have different characters than XBC2? I have it lying around but I feel like I‘m not ready to see them without Rex since the trio grew on me so much over the course of the game

caut_R,

I‘m actually gonna pick it up again with a friend soon! We wanna try and platinum the thing, we‘ll see how that goes. I‘ve no idea where I am, I‘m in the DLC, that‘s all I remember.

caut_R,

Oh no…

caut_R,

I played Call of Duty Black Ops III and I don‘t understand how anyone can enjoy that multiplayer, it‘s such an overloaded piece of crap lol

Campaign and Zombies was fun af though.

Also, any sad dad game. I don‘t wanna be sad when I play videogames.

caut_R,

Recettear had me glued to my screen out of nowhere, very interesting genre mix

caut_R,

Trails in the Sky‘s story is so goated, it‘s in my top 5 favorite stories. The combat wasn‘t my cup of tea, but I managed to get through without any bigger problems, I forgot how though lol

caut_R,

Since I blew up my Skyrim by accidentally updating and rollback doesn‘t work for me, I‘m just playing some Spiral Knights and GRID (2019) while waiting for mods to catch up again.
