If it takes slavery to make a pyramid or an anime that I enjoy then I don’t need either of them. And no one should feel differently but that’s just my opinion.
I got that as well but my point was lack of wonders like pyramid and some media doesn’t even count as a drawback if we can abolish slavery, which still exist in a different form and name. They simply aren’t on the same balance.
Former actually, as you said pretty much every good thing had some negatives, it’s all a trade off on one way or another. But if it was between art and slavery, one outweigh the other heavily. And I feel the same for games as well, I don’t mind waiting and paying a higher price if I have to.
Well there are still a decent amount of games that comes out as closed beta before going public so there’s definitely a market for it but reading irdeta anywhere always stings a little
But I don’t? I don’t even use gog. I am simply giving you an answer to why the comments are negative about it. And no, no one is speculating the end of DRM, just sharing their opinion on the topic just like you and me. I think its a waste of resource and incorrect priorities personally but that’s just my uneducated opinion.
Aren’t you judging too soon? That looks more like a generic no no piracy statement which is easy to understand for a non tech wavy user who doesn’t understand much beside run Nintendo games on PC. I haven’t really dug deep into the whole emulator shit show that happened as I don’t use it myself but that statement by itself doesn’t really mean much.
Ubisoft has said the recently released Skull and Bones has achieved “record player engagement” since launch, although it has yet to announce how many copies it’s sold or how many players it has.
Damn I had to stop playing because I am not a fan of PvP especially when is on a shitty old 940mx laptop that straight up freezes every minute. Can anyone create a private server for friends or do I have to self host it? Guessing it’s the former but looks like it’s worth another try anyway.
Just another invidious instance. Ig the owner wanted to make the announcement quirky. In case you are not aware of invidious, it’s a privacy focused youtube front end.
Jesus, can’t blame the guy for ditching if that’s what they came up with after 7 yrs. I never had any hopes for it anyway but the increasing price tag for these so called AAAA games are infuriating.
Okay let me start with two heavy hitters right from the get go and don’t forget these are only personal oppinions and I absolute understand if you like those games. Good for you!...
Visual novels. I haven’t tried many but as a fan of steins gate series, I didn’t find the visual novel fun. Maybe because they were so outdated or because I already know the story but when I played it, I was thinking it would be more fun to just watch as media or watch someone else play while I have my lunch.
I was pretty hyped for the new prince of persia game (the lost crown), but come to find out it’s only available on ubisoft’s proprietary launcher or epic games. Nope, and nope....
Not even close… no one is complaining that it’s on other stores, the problem is that it isn’t on steam and even if there was, it still requires you to install their own garbage client. Quite literally the opposite.
Man what are you on and whats with these pointless anti steam propaganda. I get why people would be against steam but this literally isn’t one of them.
So let me repeat that. NO ONE WANTS IT TO BE STEAM EXCLUSIVE. PEOPLE ARE AGAINST PLATFORM EXCLUSIVITY. To me you look like weird one having some weird fetish for hating big bad companies. Everyone knows the problems of monopoly and I have also taken course on economics so I am somewhat aware of it but I buy things where it’s convenient and if it isn’t I would rather pirate it. Doesn’t matter if it’s stream or gog or epic, you are simply barking at the wrong tree mate.
As of right now there are more than 10k reviews and it seems to be fairly welcomed. I am thinking of getting it as well if I could get some of my friends interested. There are some bugs but for an early access game that just came out it seems fine but the developers old game doesn’t give me much confidence.
Downscaling as bad as it sounds, makes sense but to dissolve the entire department??? I am guessing someone on top thinks he can just ask chatgpt to make a photo with a shit prompt, post it on social media during his break and its gonna actually work.
Pretty much yes but moving your arm by a little isn’t really that hard and can be done without lifting your elbow. I don’t find it tiring even after a full day of usage but maybe I am just used to it.
I am not tall but I would say my hand is a bit more than average, about 18 ish cm I would say. I always find palm grip as shown in the picture to be comfortable but the base of my palm firmly rests on the mousepad and the fingers and top part of palm will be on the mouse. Also a reason I can’t use a small mouse as the top side of my palm can never rest on the mouse without my fingers going past the keys.
Have probably done that over a bunch of games over the years but can’t remember much of them but the one game that immediately comes to mind is spiritfarer. Had so many touching farewells and some of them were too relatable to be not shed a tear. Man Atul left me speechless for days, I still need more hugs.
There are ways to skip their launcher entirely amd use alternatives. Legendary and heroic launcher for example on Linux, there are probably some on windows as well.

That’s one of an important rule for me in every game, never mod a game before doing a vanilla run first. You won’t understand what a mod is changing until you know what’s the vanilla behavior. Especially for games like rimworld with 500+ mods, you gotta know every aspect on what the mod changes and what are the mods that can be clashing.
You can try a small list of qol mods tho, once you get used to some its impossible to play without them. And keep trying, you will eventually get there once you understand every possible problem and how to tackle or avoid it.
I usually play games on “normal” difficulty these days, for a balanced challenge. However, I don’t particularly enjoy boss fights, or at least I don’t enjoy the extra challenge associated with them. Was thinking it would be nice if games had a separate setting so I could just set boss fights to “easy”, while not...
Would be nice if there was a dynamic difficulty that constantly changes based on how well your performing. You can always have a hard fought and be victorious but just barely to have a great experience. Would need a different implementation to have some penalty or reduce reward for not performing well so you will be motivated to try your best. Although properly implementing that is definetely a difficult task but seems possible enough to hope for. The closest thing I can imagine is hades that gradually increases damage resistance each time you die and I really like that implementation for a rougelike. I am someone who likes a bit of challenge but will definitely lose interest if I have to repeat something multiple times. Hades is an exception as each runs varies a lot but soulslike game that you have to try multiple times to learn and defeat a boss is a massive turn off for me.
Try it, steam makes it so easy to refund stuff assuming you played less than couple hours and bought it fairly recently. And forcing companies to make trials isn’t as easy as you think. Some indie games still have trial versions but those are pretty much impossible to find in AAA titles as they obviously want people to just buy them and play past the return window.
Edit: Also on your post, who cares? Lot of companies certainly don’t have morals and do whatever they can to milk their users. If you don’t wanna pay for it then don’t, its better than not playing anyway. Buy something if you can afford to and wanna support the studio, especially indie studios who rely on that income to produce more games and the money actually go to the people who deserve it. I personally just grab a bunch of stuff on sale and play one when I feel like it, although a lot of them remains untouched to this date.
Tldr: don’t overthink it, do whatever works for you

But it didnt tho, it looks shit and hogs more resources compared to other games like cyberpunk which is probably a better example for next gen graphics
I would say a pc would be cheaper if ur on a budget as u can easily get a bunch of used hardware and rig it together till you can afford something better for an upgrade
